Selected User Reviews For Standard Motor Products DS-1012 Turn Signal Switch
In cold weather, turning on our 2000 Civic low beam headlamps could take several minutes. Based on my research, it appears that this is a common issue with older civics. There are several good YouTube videos that demonstrate how to replace this switch. It's a straightforward and quick swap. The delay was removed by replacing the switch. Standard Motor Products, the product's manufacturer, appears to be on par with the next aftermarket manufacturer, based on my research. Switch was a perfect fit. It appears to be a good purchase, with a good price and quick delivery, and the expectation that it will last for many years.
Depending on how cold it was, it could take up to 15 minutes for the car to turn on while it was still standing. It was fixed thanks to this switch. br>br>The old switch can be repaired by cleaning the contacts. All that is required is some research.
It worked.
It functions and is installed in the same way that a factory part would.
