Several users claim that these lights are compatible with the Model Y, but the seller states that they are not. Can you please explain why some users say they are compatible with the Model Y, while you indicate that they are not.
Based on the conditions of the lighting, the Tesla emblem projects differently. It is similar to the vendor picture if the image is in complete darkness. There is a possibility of a bluish hue in conditions of high light. LED puddles on my camera phone are oriented like the vendor's photo, however, I took that photo with my camera phone and it looks like the other customers did. Specifically the same thing is happening when I install all 4 lights. It is impossible for the rear lights to come on when the front lights are on, and vice versa.

I strongly advise you not to buy! Because the after market lights somehow trick the car into thinking the door was closed when it was actually open, Tesla said the after market lights will cause windows to shatter. A vehicle that believes a door is closed when it is actually open will also fail to retract the glass downwards as a result the glass will shatter when you shut the door. It cost $538 dollars to repair this vehicle!.
In place of my original Tesla Puddle lights LEDs, I installed the Carwiner Puddlelights in the two front doors. It is not necessary to use the supplied extensions to mount the Carwiner Puddle lights. Tesla's original wiring connector fits, but it does take some experimenting as this cable is much tighter than the one that originally came with the Tesla LEDs. After dark, I was able to see the logo and print very clearly. The reviews that I read indicated they were not bright impressed me very much. Besides the Puddle lights from Abstract Ocean, I also bought two of them from Carquest and installed them in both It is a very sharply focused image that is somewhat larger than the original AO logo. The two of them cannot play well together, however. As soon as I open both front and back - rear doors (on the same side) the rear door (AO light) will stay bright and the open front door (Carwiner brand Tesla Puddle light) will be very dim and not visible from the ground. With both doors open, not only do the two Carwiner lights in the front show brightly, but also the original Tesla factory LEDs in the back! I switched over to the AO leds for my Tesla rear doors, my rear doors dominated me when also opened, and the rear door AO lights were brighter than my Tesla rear doors. My conclusion (which may be incorrect since I am not an electronics circuit technician. There will be no need to replace the Carwiner lights. However, installing one for each of the four doors may / may not provide the voltage required and the four Carwiner puddle lights may appear less bright if only two are installed. The Abstract Ocean Puddle lights are more expensive to purchase (as noted in some reviews), but installing more than 2 may or may not affect the brightness of the other lights. During my 5 minute installation, I had nothing to worry about. My original lighting was not long enough, so I adapted the pigtails that came with the product. I am pretty pleased with the result. It will be interesting to see how long these lights can last. (Btw, when you take out the original lights, you will see an error message. There was no issue after I installed the new lights, and it will disappear once I put the new lights on).
My first glance at the abstract ocean offer showed that it is very expensive. The one on the Model 3 may not be as bright as the one from abstract ocean, but it is brighter than the one from abstract ocean. My final result looks great, but I admit that disconnecting the OEM puddle light was a bit difficult. Seeing where and how to depress that clip is challenging from this angle, and you have a hard time spotting where and how it should be pressed. My clip might have been misaligned but I was still able to connect the new light when it had been mangled a bit. Pigtail was absolutely necessary since the wire in the car door was so short. However, all in all, it was worth it for the money and I like how it looks!.
