Questions & Answers

I have an issue with the bottom center three buttons not reacting. Will this solve it?

The answer is yes. I just remembered that it is not a factory screen mine works fine. I paid $90 to have it installed at a repair shop. Also, GMParts might be of interest to you. The website is called www.com, I believe. A Vin must be provided to ensure that it fits at the dealership, so the price is $400 there. They put a new set of headlights and cargo mats on my truck

The proximity sensors are there in this product?

As replacement screens are not constructed with proximity sensors, they are constructed with amber-colored windows, which allow your hand to approach the screen to be sensed by the proximity sensors. In addition to the screen, the sensors are mounted on the Cue unit. Be sure the replacement screen you purchase contains these windows visible just below the horizontal chrome bar at the bottom of the screen. Moreover, be careful not to overpay since all these devices are Sensor windows are found on most of the less expensive screens.

This item works only if my screen is unresponsive do I need the whole radio system if the entire screen is unresponsive?

There is typically only need for a new touch screen when a laptop is reconditioned. There may be a situation requiring addition of a new module in rare circumstances. Our recommendation is always to replace the touch screen first as this is a known issue that is lower cost than replacing Rest assured, if the screen replacement did not resolve your issue, you may buy a refurbished system module at an 80% discount compared to what it would have cost from a dealer while getting a refund for the original screen.

As of 2014, my AT s has only call bluetooth, was wondering if this would add full pairing and pairing? Is it keeping the settings as they are or only the original ones?

The base is there if you have it If you have a non-CUE stereo device, you will not be able to stream Bluetooth There is a larger screen version of this screen for An option to stream by Bluetooth would be by using an AUX adapter that is Bluetooth compatible.

The cue on my computer is working again
5/5

The Cue in my 2015 SRX needed to be repaired with this. After the warranty expired at the beginning of 2017, I started noticing that the lower middle of the screen of the Cue had become unresponsive on and off. As of first, I was just annoyed by it since I rarely used this part of my After I saw how large the unresponsive area was, it prevented me from hanging up at the end of a call since the "dismiss" option was no longer available. Despite the annoying nature of the situation, I could end the call with the steering wheel. This fall, the failing screen made it impossible for me to remove ice from the windshield using the vents as the temperatures began to drop. When I looked for a solution, I discovered several Youtube videos about how to reset the cue on my computer. I realized that the issues that I'd been having were a result of a very costly dealer repair to replace the entire Cue through the Cadillac dealer after reading the comments for the video that explained how to reset the screen. After I clicked the reset button, the screen started working again, but the area that had stopped responding a year ago did not. I rested for about two days during which time the screen froze down. During my Youtube search, I found another vendor selling a similar product for $400 and realized there may be other vendors selling the same product. Whenever I need a new screen, I go straight to Amazon and found one there that had The item arrived by Prime shipping last Thursday after I ordered it last week. In addition, Amazon suggested a toolkit that could assist in taking the dash apart. Having watched a few YouTube videos on how to disassemble the dash, my husband and I set off to take it apart Within 90 minutes, we were able to take apart the dash, remove the old broken screen, and put it all back together. My SRX appears to be functioning once more and we are very happy to have it back up and running. For those with frozen unresponsive Cue screens and the ability to follow along with the directions provided on YouTube, this can be a cheap fix to Cadillac's inattention to the issue.

Getting rid of the side trim takes a lot of strength and guts
5/5

It's just a matter of replacing I was prompted to do not take my eyes off the road on my Cadillac Cue's warning screen when it was frozen. You Tube has all sorts of hokie pokie remedies that I tried with little or no The computer was responding correctly to voice commands and to changes other than those involving the touch screen, so I knew it was working properly. This is why YouTube has taken the bold step of replacing just the touch screen in its fix. In accordance with the promise, we ordered a part and plastic tools to remove the trim pieces and they arrived within two days. Earlier in the day, we took out the car to be repaired! Despite our best efforts, we can't seem to remove the trim pieces after an hour. Our fears of popping them off kept us from doing so. Please take notice You have to be brave and just try What do you think? My friend, a local mechanic, was able to complete the job after I brought it to him. My original fee for this service was $250 it took him several hours he had done no similar work before and I felt comfortable paying his fee. Even without the dealer's help, the cost is way below $1400. I disagree. There is something you should keep in mind here. On the back side of the screen were some bubbles. A screen protector was left on and he forgot to remove it. As a result, I was charged an extra $75, which I gladly paid, as it took him longer to go back in and remove the protector. In any case, it cost only $325 in labor and I have a car like new for under $500. It all works perfectly and I haven't even found a scratch or a fingerprint on it. It's a great day for me. The following is a list of lessons Take off the trim panel on the side yourself and save $325 remove the screen protector film on the back of the screen pick up the plastic tools trust yourself ALWAYS and use YouTube to find instructions before taking your car to the dealer.

It works better than the old part from Cadillac
5/5

I'm not one who talks highly about products, but I'm more than happy to recommend this product to anyone who had the same problems I had with the old part. Because of cracks in the screen, the Dealership had to replace my Cue System three times (while the warranty was still in effect). The cost of replacement under my 3 year warranty would have been around $1500 now that the warranty has expired. It is true that I am very happy with the service I received!.

I got it working! We were able to save I have updated I've used it for a year now and it still works like a charm! Over the past year, my husband's 2013 Cadillac ATS has been without a functioning screen
5/5

It was going to cost $1300 for the dealer Our plan was not to fix it at all, but when we tried to trade in the car they took off $2k for the broken screen. Our technician found this screen online, ordered it, and installed it in about two hours. After watching some YouTube videos, he concluded that this screen is a good one to get as it includes all the OEM features. From what I read in other reviews, it seemed too good to be true, but it works great! The plastic dash tools didn't work, and he only used one of the pry bars. told me to give it five stars, so I gave it five stars. As for its longevity yet, we have no idea, but the original lasted only a few years so we are fairly satisfied with it for $150.

I was amazed at how easy it was! As a result of the heat, my screen also suffered from what I should call the "typical spider web crack"
5/5

However, even though I just bought a new 2015 SRX six months ago, the dealership wanted $500 for a cracked windshield, which seemed ridiculous to me since it is Ohio. Anyhow, even though the cracked windshield had nothing to do with me, I refused to pay. I was told to expect a response from them. Even though they never did, I still like working on things like this anyways, so I was more eager to receive this in the mail than I should have been. It was a breeze from beginning to end. From shipping to the addition of the screen, to removing the old one, but mostly replacing it, so far, so good. Going to a dealer is also not a good idea unless you buy it and have someone else install it for you. It is a relatively easy DIY project unless you have physical limitations that make it difficult to handle tools and screws. I estimate it took between an hour and an hour and a half. In 5 hours I didn't keep track but I made sure I took my time. You just need to watch the videos and order the tools suggested on this page and you'll be good to go.
