A 7mm socket or plastic pry tool is not really special unless you consider them to be so.
It is a straightforward replacement that doesn't require programming or coding, nor does it require a visit to the dealer. You will be all set if you just follow the instructions included. Thank you so much for your question
The melted/cracked appearance of the factory screens is due to the gel center layer of the factory screens evaporating over time and causing evaporation of the gel center layer over time. You only need a replacement touch screen from Cuescreens to make your device look brand new once If you have further questions, please feel free to contact us.
I believe you are experiencing two distinct issues. If you are experiencing a problem with the changing stations and locking up, the touch screen will most likely resolve it if the LCD display is flickering or dropping out, I would recommend checking your battery first and ensuring it is fully charged. Having weak batteries causes many display issues, according to my experience.

The Cue Screen is a wonderful addition to my 2014 Cadillac CTS, and I could not be more pleased. It cost me $1300 to buy the car from the dealer. This could have been replaced for about $3000, but I bought the CUE Screen and an extra bag of plastic trim tools for around $150. This video will give you an idea as to how I fixed it myself in under 2 hours. I watched the videos a few times very quickly and then paused them as I went. ZIP was the file format I used Each time I removed a screw, I would place it in a lock bag in order. I found it most difficult to remove the USB port in the valet area on the back of the unit. Also, be very careful when removing the connectors on the back. As you remove the chrome colored trim piece from around the unit, the video shows you to pry almost half way up, but in my case I learned I needed to slide the tool down towards the bottom until it came loose. I have replaced the factory part with a part that looks identical to the factory one, no difference, and all the pieces clip into place a lot easier than prying them apart.
My order for this product arrived just As of 11am, I had begun installing the product. Having just finished installing the product shortly after 1pm, I just wanted to let you know how it went. It took me between 2 and 3 hours to complete the installation. It was very straight forward. All of the items were able to be removed very easily from the car. The only tool you need is a 7mm socket and a body shop tool. It is easy to remove the Cadillac cue assembly. Disassembling everything quickly after watching the manual was my task. Instructions on how to take it apart are clear and straightforward. The few plug-ins that have to be removed through disassembly need to be handled carefully, but everything went smoothly. In addition, you should pay attention to the machine screws versus the plastic screws when removing the components. A machine screw goes into a metal (machine screws have very fine threads), while a plastic screw has more widely spaced Only 1 step was hard for me, and it was placing the black compartment The screen and compartment were immediately connected after the 5 screws were placed back on top, so I had to wiggle this back into place before I was able to install the 5 screws In my opinion, it's a project that just about anyone can handle. When you do not want to spend $1700 at a GM Dealer and you want to fix the screen yourself for $150 instead. If you want to understand what you need to do, watch the video several times(without tools in your hand) Make sure you have an in-depth grasp of it. In order to complete the repair, I watched the video several times and then played it step by step. The product is a 5 star product in my opinion. I have a Cadillac CUE that works like it used to work! It is only my hope that this aftermarket screen will last longer than the OEM one from GM (I hope it will last for as long as I own this In my opinion, this product would be a good buy and a product I'd recommend to.
CUE Screens were found after I did a little research online. It took me some time to order the right one. the display and it worked, but the touch was not responsive. I called Cue Screen and they advised me I need to order the V-series screen, if my original screen was replaced in 2018 or later. Not for the basic or the premium version of the Cue screen, but for the 2018 version. Keeping an eye on the cable can tell you whether it is in working order or not. As you can see in the picture, I have braided hair, so I need the V-shaped clip This model is the latest in the series. As a result, they fixed me up with the correct model, and now it's working fine. The following article may be of interest if you are a do-it-yourselfer You should not have any difficulty with the install if you are a self-starter type of person. The internet has excellent instructions for taking your model apart and putting it back together again. If you're not confident taking things apart and putting them back together, you should probably hire someone to do it for you.
As a result, my screen became very sluggish and finally froze. I could not do anything on it, could not use navigation because even my voice was forcing me to select something I decided what the heck, I will try it. I had just expired warranty so I had to replace. I did a happy dance when it The equipment is working without a hitch, so I am extremely pleased. Watching the video and following it was an enjoyable experience for my hubby and me. The first trim piece was a bit of a hassle because we were afraid of breaking something, but after that it went smoothly. I would say all in all a couple of hours of work. I have never spent more than $100 ever. Thank you so much for sharing this with me.
Okay my 2013 SRX had a dead spot on the lower center of the screen, making it difficult to navigate to recent waypoints. I just spent a grand getting my GPS working again after replacing the antenna splitter 6 months ago, a worthwhile investment despite having to remove the headliners and replace 2-wire wiring. The diagnosis took three hours, but you get the picture. After using all the resources available, I was able to remove the unit from the car in around 30 minutes, not difficult at all. Between videos (YouTube) and vendor supplied PDFs, I took around 30 minutes to remove the old screen. In close to an hour, I was able to swap out a screen and assemble the unit without using leftover parts. It took a little work to get the new screen to fit flat against the old one as well as align the plastic alignment pins. do it yourself and you will save a boatload of money. Replace only what is damaged and you will save a boat load of money. To test, I had it plugged back into the car and everything worked as it should have. 1) Time-saving tip This might be the case for 2013 SRXs (maybe others) Neither the first 7mm screws nor the trim need to be removed when removing trim. They can be loosened by simply turning a few knobs. On the front end of the trim piece, there is a slot for the screw to go over, and on the rear end, there is a hole for the screw to go through which allows you to just pivot the trim piece out of the way if you need to. (This is shown in some of the videos, glad I took them. The screw will not fall into the console and you will save time and reduce the possibility of losing it. If you choose to do so, good luck.
There is no doubt that this is a fantastic fix for touch screens that aren't performing as well as they should. There is even a value to hiring a local audio store to do the job on an hourly basis. My guess would be that they could handle it in a couple of hours, since they already have a few years of experience with When you plan on doing it be sure that you have the right tools, I grabbed an Auto Trim Removal Tool Kit for Car Door Clip Panel Audio Video Dashboard, Set of 10Pcs for $8. Although I have only used two of them so far, I am sure I will need them again in the future. As it stands, I have some wires that could make good hiding spots.
