Questions & Answers
It reads anywhere from 10 to 16 volts, based on the scale. It would appear that the needle is " pierced" beyond the 16 marking if it were connected in a 24 volt system. In the Faria archives you'll find Depending on your needs, there may be voltmeters available for 24 volt systems in the Breede catalog.
In accordance with the Faria Breede website, the hole diameter is 2 inches or 53 millimeters.
There is a slight overhang of less than 2 inches on the OD
Selected User Reviews For FARIA BEEDE 12821 Euro Voltmeter (3003.3439), black
I've conducted a quick bench test before installation and found it just isn't very accurate. It reads just over 12 volts, about half a volt under.
It is an attractive and well-made gauge, but it does not deliver accurate measurements. In the 14th year of life, There is a low voltage reading of 6v. In the case of the gauge, it's off on both ends of the scale, making it unlikely to be In my opinion, if the manufacturer knew this, they would have chosen a normal charging voltage to calibrate it with, but it appears they split it.
Using this gauge, you can measure the temperature of a contact head. Currently repairing one of my engines on my Evinrude 115 HP V4. I plan on repairing the other engine in the next few weeks. Make sure your outboard does not overheat It is very expensive. You're getting a lot for your money with these gauges.
As a replacement for a gauge ruined when I neglected to connect a battery to the outboard motor. Since there is no voltage regulator on the engine, the voltage was high enough that the meter burned out. When using a volt/ohm meter (fluke 85) on the back of the gauge, it shows that about 1/2 volt is It isn't a big deal as it is more for telling me when the battery is charging than to tell me its state of charge, but it is It's a bit of an "economical" construction, so time will tell if it will hold up, but I would expect it to last for only a few years.
The Bayliner boat's engine was ordered to be replaced. The first gauge displayed almost two volts of low voltage. Expecting Fluke accuracy should not be expected, as we were supposed to get better than that. It was an old manufacturer, so I tried it again. There seem to be some quality control problems with calibrations in the factory.
The installation seems pretty straightforward and the app seems accurate. It's also not very expensive.
Gauges for a multitude of applications beyond the marine industry.
