On the ol' lady's Honda Rebel, I used this bracket to mount an Idea gear indicator. It appears to be in good condition. Instead of using the dubious double-sided tape that came with the gear indicator, the bracket appears to be OEM. It's not 3M double-sided tape, in my opinion. Some may consider this bracket to be a little on the pricey side at $20 for a piece of plastic. I agree. However, I find that the alternative (cheap double-sided tape) is insufficient. The gear indicator costs around $50 right now, and it's also available on Amazon. So you'll be spending around $75. New riders will benefit from this setup because it removes one more thing from their minds. If you've ever ridden a bike without a gear indicator or a tachometer when you were a kid and didn't understand feedback, you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Only a small percentage of the time does it show the proper equipment. A Suzuki C90T is the motorcycle I ride. It lacks a tachometer and a gear indicator, as do most big V twins. I came across this on Amazon and thought it would be a useful addition for those times when I forgot what gear I was wearing. It was fairly simple to set up the indicator. A mounting bracket was also purchased. When I started my bike after the installation, I got a nice green 0 and then a nice green 6. I figured all I needed to do was sync it, so I went for a ride on the bike. For no more than a few minutes, the indicator displayed the correct gear. I'm very disappointed now, after a week of crossing my fingers. It hasn't gotten any better in the last few years. I have a return label that I will use to send it back to CHINA on my own dime. I'm sure it'll be around the same price as the purchase, and I've tried to contact the company but so far have had no luck. If I receive a response, I will update this review with the outcome. For the time being, I would advise staying away from this product, as it appears to be yet another piece of Chinese garbage. I wish a country in the first world would make a gear indicator for my bike; I would gladly pay more for a high-quality product.
The product is well-made and of high quality. materials of high quality Check to see if it will fit on your handlebar in the desired position.
Yamaha FZ1 from the year 2009. br>It's a good fit for you. I was able to use the top bolt, but had to use a spare, and I did not use the adhesive provided. br>Wish it was cheaper, but it works.
Installing it was a breeze. self- On the 2019 Rebel 500, explanatory works great.
I took it to the shop and had the gear shift indicator installed. This holder was also given to the dealer, who put it to good use. There have been no problems at all. If you're not confident in your ability to install the gear shift indicator and holder, I recommend having the dealer do it.
