I can plug it into the CB300F diagnostic port of my 2013 CB1000R and another CB300F of my friend. I would assume the plug is a Honda standard one.
A package containing the indicator was sent to me. There are a few details missing in the instructions. There was a problem with the wires connected to the white female connector. The instructions do not mention that the connectors were marked with different colors of wire. I feared this as there was no diagram. Connectors made with crimps are not very good and you could use solder instead. If you wish to do the learning portion on the street, however, you will need an open road that you can hold the car in each gear at the same time for a long time. I ended up putting the car on a stand and doing that. Beginners should also be aware that the indicator moves slowly, particularly when It could take it two gear changes before it recognizes which one you want to change so be aware it doesn't work like a modern bike's gear indicator in regards to the amount of time it takes to change gears.
It would be helpful to add a few more details to the installation instructions. I'm very pleased with the product. There is nothing better than receiving a plug end already removed when you receive your order. I am able to wire a lot more easily with it. The wires plug end has a colored marker line which lets you see where they go into the There should be a mention of that in the instructions, that's my only complaint. I had to think for a second before I realized what was happening. The device works great, and it is easy to program.
Just make sure you are ready to connect it to the bike's wiring so it can learn your bike. After that, you're good to go.
This is a useful product. To make the process of passing the cables through the interior of the motorcycle easier, the battery cables are separated from the connector. The process of making changes to your schedule is simple.
