You can see half of the picture here. The 2003 Toyota Avalon is being repaired. Quite a bargain considering I paid the same amount at the car parts store and one-third of the cost here A professional repair costs about one-third (if not less) the amount of the first. Before disassembling your engine, you should check which o2 sensors need to be replaced. When it came to my vehicle, there were *two* air-fuel sensors ('upstream' sensors) in addition to the 'downstream' sensors. You're in luck if it's the one up top. I think you may be in for a cramped experience if it's the one on the bottom. For more details about the sensors, search online to determine the bank number in the check engine code.
The sensor only works for 6 months with the 2002 Sienna (Bank 1 Sensor 1). Approximately 6 months after turning off the engine check light, it comes back on. Sensor wiring should have a resistance of about 600 Ohm between the wires that heat, which should be about 1 Ohm. A 2Ohm resistor. Denso part 234--which I had to replace yesterday -- had to be installed. An eBay order of 9021 was placed. In addition, there is no easy way to plug in or unplug the sensor connector for 2002 SIENNA ST0005.
If there is a problem with one of the codes, it will be evident.
Suddenly the engine light came on after 20 miles, and now I can't send back the car.
This is the exact same item that I would have bought from my Toyota dealer.
The code for my Air/Fuel ratio sensor on bank 1 was cleared.
It did not work because the sensor was bad. As a cheap aftermarket sensor, the dealer said it was a cheap product.
I had no problems with the fit.
