Questions & Answers

This coil fits an xl of 1987, the stock location of the coil is under the front of the gas tank. ?

You should be able to mount it if it says that it will work for your 87. The version you get is the same size as the ones you get with the stock box. The xlh for my 1974 was similar to this one. Each of the tanks hang under the front of the tank via a bolt. They are all the same size.

What will this look like on my 1968 FLH Duo Glide Shovel Head?

I am 53 years old From 80 cubic inch gasoline to high compression 120 cubic inch and maybe more from Ultima, the 660 Ultima package is designed to work only on 1983 and up Evo motors. It is possible to program each curve and it works remarkably well. Ultima makes ignitions for shovels, according to my research. Comp- has also been used by me Models such as what is described in this article have Crain Ignition and fire ignition. If you are using Comp- software, ensure you are using the correct coils A fire has broken out. Let me know if this helps.

Is it possible to use my stock ignition coil from a 1990 Harley-Davidson with the electronic ignition system?

According to the instructions, there is a setup for a dual fire coil, so I believe it is possible. While I explored this option, unfortunately, it would have cost an extra $50 for the full kit and the bike would run a lot better with a Sportster 1200 model 91

Is it going to work on my 1974 shovelhead?

No, this will not Ben and Jireh Cycles thank you for your business

There is a 1991 XLH1200 still living! In 1991, I had a 1991 Sportster 1200 that lost its magnetic pick up
5/5

Even though that part is $60, the solid state ignition module (separate from that year) is another $100 and I figure 30 year old solid state electrical stuff is only a matter of time before it fails. It is pretty expensive to buy a module that replaces both alone at 130 dollars, so I decided to purchase the kit instead. Nothing disappointed me about it. When the battery is depleted (12). I could not get the bike to run with a battery of 1 volt, but it started and ran well despite being This product seems to be a quality one and the bike seems to like it a lot. I can't speak to its durability, but it seems to be a quality product. Easy instructions that are clear and easy to understand. Make sure to have ring terminals and crimp on connectors for the connectors (or to use a soldering iron) on hand. They include one or two along with a replacement rotor (that is not neccessary for the.

The ignition was great I think this is an amazing deal
5/5

Everything seems to be going well. It was a breeze to install and there were no problems. If you want to enlarge the cam cover hole, you just need to drill a little bit larger. Easy to understand. Have not been able to figure out how to make the tachometer work, but it's fine. This Shovelhead is 72 years old Timing the flywheel using the dot rather than the line will provide more accurate results. You should see a red light on when you put the dot in the timing hole Be sure that TDC is set on the Rotate the timing plate in the Cam Cover clockwise until the light turns off and that's all there is to I did not even bother timing it with a light since the system runs so well.

The service is very good, however it is expensive and there is an issue with it
4/5

A 1982 Sportster Ironhead (XLS Roadster) needed to have its ignition control module replaced. Although I preferred simply to replace the original module, I was unable to locate an equivalent part. Unlike the pick up coil, the Ultima system will also replace the control module in the right side case where the pick up coil used to be mounted. It was a straight-forward installation By following the included instructions, you can get started. Due to the fact that my bike already had the correct gold pick up rotor installed, I didn't need to install the new Besides removing the output sprocket cover (which required me to remove the exhaust, the footpeg, the rear brake pedal and master cylinder of my bike) I also removed the exhaust and footpeg so the wiring harness can be routed easily Because I have set all the DIP switches to off (except for the carburetor on my bike), all the lights are on. With the LED on the main unit, it was easy to set the static timing, and the bike started right up once it was all hooked up. It was only a hiccup that the coil included with this kit was too wide, and since I mount my coil under the down tube of the frame as well as between the tank, the tank could not be mounted at the bottom. In the end, I took the rear coil mounting bolt out, and moved the coil forward and away from the tank by swinging the front coil bolt forward. A pricey kit, to be sure, but if it lasts 40 years or more it could be worth it The OEM's decision to invest over a number of years is a good one.

I am stunned! I am very pleased with the performance upgrade! Since I have had my Cadillac for 23 years, I have added many upgrades over time
5/5

This was by far the best upgrade I have ever made! I have to tell you, this ignition really brought this bike to life! It helps the high compression pistons, pipes, cam, and Mikuni carbs, but this ignition made this package come to life! Besides the smooth operation and easier start, the power increase is very noticeable. I never thought this could be as powerful as it is! You don't have to spend all the extra money on other ignitions for an evo motor since this is all you need.

A new ignition system
4/5

In my 1989 soft tail, it made a huge performance difference, but it was a pain in the a$$ to install. There wasn't enough room for the wires to pass through when I bolted the module into the cover of the cam and it tripped the circuit breaker. As a result I had to grind the bottom of the module. After I grounded the bottom of the module, which created room for the wires, everything worked perfectly.

There is one star

It didn't take more than a year for the Voes light to stop working. Is there anything you wish us to fix? The item must be returned and money must be paid.

The setup is very simple
5/5

My bike burped on me while I was far The fire wasn't caused by gas or plugs. The ignition was the cause. My order was very easy and quick to install (took me longer because I wanted to make sure it was as hidden as possible and efficient) and I was able to set it up quickly. Everything seems to be working fine now. I would definitely buy from them.
