Can any points like those from an old car be used?

It is true in theory that all ignition points are the same way, but you have to use the correct points for your specific engine model because the mounting screw holes and terminals are different.

I find it hard to talk about each point. The doctors have said they are fine - I made it. Although I can't recall the exact manufacturer (it's been a couple of weeks since installation) I believe they're made in the USA There is no doubt that the brand is Kohler. The gap should be within acceptable tolerances and the installation isn't too complicated. Having done this type of installation before will make things easier for you. You can find instructions on how to do it on YouTube and find out what you need to know and how to do it.

The points are genuine, but they are junk

There is a Koller's ring in it There is a made in mexico sticker on it, so I assume it's an original part. * However, the quality is obviously lower compared to the one that had been on my engine plastic has replaced bakelite! Despite the fact that proper gap adjustment should be easy with this one, for unknown reasons it isn't. I reverted back to my previous part, defined the proper gap with ease and voila! I ended up replacing the points after a couple of months because the engine wouldn't start. Those bad boys from the old days are hard to come by these days.

As far as I can tell, it is working well. However, it is made in Mexico. I also took 10 days to receive my package due to the super slow delivery.

My experience was a bit frustrating with these things. All of them were oxidized and out of the box they were not even close to being adjusted correctly.
