The distributor with vacuum advance should enjoy this one, as far as I know. 009 system uses only mechanical means, which means no vacuum is used. If you can't find it there, there is one for mechanical distributors which has a model number without the V. Check it out first. *br> *br>Make sure to check their website.
It is possible that your tach has some problems. Pertronix must be contacted directly and you will have to advise them of your manufacturer. We can help you set up the system if you know the name and type. There are some tachs that do not work at all with Ignitor or Pertronix I had the stock wiring on my 70/73 Opel GT, and I had no trouble getting the tach to run when I didn't make any changes to it.
Selected User Reviews For Pertronix 71847V Ignitor III Adaptive Dwell Control Multiple Spark with Digital Rev Limiter for Bosch 4-Cylinder Engine
My 1970 Opel GT 1 has been fitted with the device. Start the 9L engine and turn the revs up. I installed it and it fired up immediately with a limit of 6000 rpm. Gap between sparks was increased In this case, "007" was preferred over standard. MAINTENANCE RUN COMPLETE. NO MORE MISFIRES AT LOW RPM OR HIGH RPM. I've got no problems with the rev limiter. The price is a bit high, but the product is well worth it! My 1972 VW Bug runs much better than the original (which must be the best I've ever run). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!.
A Volkswagen's ignition system is a good one.
