Questions & Answers
Although this is most likely a question for the manufacturer, I do know that the cigarette lighter hasn't changed since the Flintstones.
Before you buy, make sure it fits your truck on the vehicle list.
I don't believe so; I have a 2005 Silverado 2500HD.
I'm not showing this because it doesn't fit this car.

REMEMBER TO WRITE DOWN THE ORDER OF INSTALLATION. This fixed one of my 2007 Chevrolet Express's cigarette lighters that had fallen out of the dash. br>br>Take note of the following installation sequence:
- Remove the plug from the receptaclebr>- Slide the old broken part backwards out of the receptacle (you'll have to release the two tabs from the inside of the receptacle, which can be tricky)br>- Pull the wire through while clicking this new part into the dash. br>- Connect the receptacle to the wirebr>- Slide the receptacle into the dash until it clicks (the receptacle is keyed, so it can only go one way).
If you decide to get rid of your old one, you'll find it extremely difficult. That has nothing to do with this item, but I figured I'd mention it just in case. I believe it had melted as a result of the lighter's heat. For my car, I also purchased the receptacle (part 25774623). Anyway, I now have a 12 volt power supply for charging and playing electronic devices. I really like Amazon.
It was a perfect match. When installing, start with the lighter socket and work your way down. "DO NOT INSTALL ON THE LIGHTER SOCKET PRIOR TO INSTALLING ON THE LIGHTER SOCKET".
When I replaced the power port receptacle in my 2004 Suburban, I also purchased this to cover the port, and I loved it so much that I bought a second one to replace the cigarette lighter because it is also used as a power port in my vehicle.
I purchase OEM items to ensure that form, fit, and quality are not compromised. This was purchased to replace one of my Hummer H3's power outlet covers. It's perfect in terms of fit and functionality.
The socket on the 2006 Chevy Express van is a perfect fit. There are no issues.
