If I had a bike it would. The 1983 Honda Goldwing Interstate is compatible with this part. Heavy rain would cause my bike to stall and reduce its cylinder capacity. The problem has been mostly resolved after I replaced the spark plug caps which seemed to be OK on the outside but were severely damaged on the inside. It is very likely that the actual wires that are causing any residual issues are also.

Unless your plug boots are torn up or cracked, you should replace your plug wires, too - make sure your boots are replaced as well. NGK solid strand wire is the best.
