If you are doing a lot of connectors, you might want to get a special tool. The pins of the 4 pin connector only needed to be crimped with needle-nose pliers for one. My expectation was that the connectors would be bigger than that. To complete the truck project I'm working on, I decided to purchase Delphi's weather pack connectors. Crimping tools are what I purchased for them.
16 guage seems to be the largest sized wire. I tried 14 guage and the insulation was too large, so the pin was not seated correctly.
It also offers a range of different sized keys to fit most terminals in a terminal removal kit.
Wire gauge approx. 15 AWG should be used for low voltage connections. Item #24 Up to 16 Volts 24 Volts.

It is by no means the same tolerances in the terminal/pin slots of these plastic connectors as OEM connectors. In this case, the terminals and pins fit very loosely in the connectors, and it can be difficult to connect the male and female ends. In particular, the terminals/pins included in this kit are not as sturdy as OEM ones they are rather flimsy as well. As a result of this, as well as the loose fit in the connector, connecting the connectors without bending a pin is practically impossible. In fact, I even tried to use the terminals themselves in OEM connectors, but they did not sit snugly in the OEM connectors because of the thinness/cheapness of the terminals. I would say this is an overall poor quality book, It feels like I paid $15 for a $15 set of connectors and received a $5 set of The connectors are so fragile that I wouldn't expect them to withstand connecting/disconnecting them more than a few times in a row. I would not recommend using this product. You can just buy OEM connectors and terminals and be done with it.
When you use these connectors, you will face the following challenges Other people have stated that the largest gauge they can accommodate is 16 gauge, but even that seems a bit unwieldy. After installing the spade sides of the connector, you have to align the pins afterwards in order to get the connector to work. Once they are done aligning, they are vulnerable to being knocked out of alignment or damaged later on, depending on how the connector is used. Despite the close fitting of the metal terminals, the terminals do not have a snug fit. You will be able to get into trouble if this is a connection that you plug and unplug at any frequency. As soon as the two pieces are locked together, there is still about 3/32" of slack in the fit. The locking position of this connector is unique. I have never encountered any other connector that slides like this. The summary is There are a lot of odd connectors like this. ANYTHING else is not worth buying. Consider returning them, but don't know if it's worth the trouble.
If it were possible to just plug one into the other without actually causing the prongs to stick out, that would be awesome.
I was able to find the location on the wire once I figured out where they should go. It is advisable to solder the wires before inserting them in the plug in order to prevent them from slipping. Several assortments are available for a variety of projects, and the price was excellent.
It's durable and reliable, and the pins are excellent. After the wire is on and the pins are in the connectors, it is ready to go. I use a special crimper for this. With these, I was able to add some add-on accessory switches to the main dashboard of my John Deere. This is a quick disclaimer I will be able to remove my dash in the future with the help of connect.
Works like a charm and helped me rebuild a bad motorcycle harness as well as an ATV harness. I like the thickness and it seems to work well. Despite the fact that the review asked me to rate its weatherproof quality, these connectors are not weatherproof. They are meant to be tucked up inside plastics or under gas tanks or under seats etc. Anyone who wants a weatherproof connector should buy "weather pack" connectors.
The purpose of this might be to rework wiring harnesses made with Chinese motorcycle parts. The plugs work fine, they match the stock plugs up to a point. The terminals are very thin, so crimping them correctly is a bit challenging, but not impossible.
It was not cheap, but it was effective. One notable criticism was the female part, which was too flexible. It did, however, hold solder, so it's likely that it will likely work anywhere that these pieces are used. I thought I would get a more expensive kit, but what I got was just what I expected.
