As far as I can tell, you could dab solder on the crimp and crimp carefully. I would prefer not to repeat it on more than one occasion. A one step crimping tool was offered as a feature with this connector, and the vendor purchased the connector based on this. Both the video and crimping tool can only be used on connectors that are smaller than the ones recommended in the video. I should have returned both the connectors and the crimping tool In the end, I decided to keep the crimping tool and also show off my ability to make the connectors work without it. The proper crimping tool was not available to me, and I was unable to mount the wiring and connectors.
It is an intricate product with very tight clearances, so you might want to do a test fit up before you submit your application. It was too thick of insulation for my wiring gauge, so I had to trim back the blue plastic keepers. You can use a crimping tool to bend the ears on the prongs to clamp them to the wire. In order to prevent moisture from getting inside, I used silicone to fill in the area around the base of the wire.
