For my 2016 LML 6, I bought this. 6 Duramax and it was a perfect fit. Just to be sure, I'd double-check the part number. Good luck with your endeavors.
That was the case with the one I got. It appears to be identical to the one that was removed from my vehicle.
This is compatible with GMC's Allison M1000 5- and 6-speed transmissions. Trucks in the Chevy 2500 and 3500 series have an 8. Engines with a displacement of 1L or Duramax. I'm not sure if this gasket is also used on the 2000 series trannys. It fits my 2006 GMC 2500 as well as my previous 2002 GMC 2500, both of which had Allison transmissions.
Counting the bolt holes is the most important thing to do. There are 12 bolt holes on my Alison 1000. Make sure you have enough bolt holes by counting them.

On my 2018 Allison 1000, I performed a Drain and Fill. It appeared to be the first time drain with 76K miles. The OEM gasket was seeping on the back of the pan and appeared to be hard on inspection during the trans service, so it was better to buy a new one and not need it than not have one at this great price and have to go out and hope to find one - if one is available - The auto parts store charges a higher price.
On my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 HD, I am replacing the transmission fluid and internal filter. For the same price, it would have been just as simple to replace the 14-year-old original gasket; they say the old gasket on the transmission is so good it can be reused? It has served me well for the past 14 years, and I am confident that it will serve me well for another 14 years if I get a new one!.
They're re-usable and of excellent quality. It was well made and well worth the money.
It was a perfect fit and lining up was a breeze. Some advise reusing the factory gasket, but I'd rather not get dripped on again for the money. As expected, the gasket was perfectly sealed.
It may not have been necessary to purchase a new one, but since I was replacing the pan, it was just as simple to replace the 8-year-old original. The old one was also a little stiff. Because it's original equipment, it'll fit like a glove. For another 8 years, everything should be fine.
Metal-reinforced bolt channels and a thick new gasket. My 2003 Chevy 2500HD Allison 1000 transmission pan had a slow leak, which I was able to fix.
Genuine Allison product, would defiantly purchase again.
When I dropped the transmission, the old gasket was fine - Plus, I believe it is beneficial to one's health, but since I had the new one, I decided to wear it.
