Leaks are not an issue! A great gasket, I had more than one issue with my rear differential
5/5

I re-used it every time I removed my rear differential cover. It never leaked. Eventually, I had to do a complete rebuild of my differential and had to get a new one of these, but I probably could have re-used the old one. It's better not to use a cheap paper gasket than to use the appropriate materials to make a gasket. **UPDATE*** It has been 2 years since I installed this gasket, and it still works great. However, it is not locktite that seals the bolts, and they did back out, causing a leak. The issue has been resolved by using blue locktite. I just wanted to let you know!.

I could not use this for All Buick Rainier SUVs with a 4 cylinder engine have most parts
3/5

Except for the year 2004, 2l is the same as 2l. The hard way was the only way I found this out. A larger bolt pattern is used on my 2004 rear differential and it is larger in diameter It wasn't until I was about to install this gasket that I realized this. It is not possible to find this out until you hold the gasket to the cover unless you take a tape measure to the cover and the gasket. Once you have opened the package, your ability to return the gasket has already been destroyed because, as I learned later when I attempted to repackage the gasket for return, they will not accept a return if it has been This note is on the back of the packaging. I didn't see it, since it is on the back Thanks to its affordability, this is a gasket you will appreciate once you receive it. I may not be able to use it as it is so thin, but it would still be a waste of time. A different gasket is used for each installation. The other is for the eighth. The following are the zeros and one There's one for the eight. The original paperwork that came with the car from the dealer is the only one that will be able to tell you which one you have. Measuring the distance between each bolt hole center to center is the most accurate method of determining bolt hole spacing. The right gasket can never be purchased if you possess the.

I cannot fit it on my truck, even though it fits on paper From 2004 to Owners of the GMT360 should be careful! A RDS 55028- is what I bought It might just be time to install a new turbo
3/5

A 2005 V8 Rainier needed some maintenance several months ago. As I installed it, I found that the bolt holes did not line up with the old gasket (which was a tough ribbed rubber, so I used some Hylomar sealant to reinforce it). Although I have tried flipping and rotating it one hole at a time, I am unable to align it. The truck I drive has 3 of them. The RPO codes indicate that we are supposed to have a 73-ratio posi rear axle. * I went to Fel- out of curiosity It was indeed possible to purchase two different rear axle cover gaskets for my truck on Pro's website. Based on its appearance, it would appear that RDS 55479 would be the correct part number, but it only appears to be used through 2004 As far as I can tell, my cover is stamped In other words, the 55028-06 is six inches tall There is supposed to be a fit for 1. What most likely happened is that my 2005 pick- up got a leftover housing from a 2004 truck, and after that, Fel-Pro replaced it The Pro classifies 8 as an You can technically consider a 6" gear to be an 8" gear. I am out of the return period, which means that I can't return. No matter what it fits, I am certain that this is an excellent gasket. Fortunately, I will only be out a few bucks.

It's time to put an end to leaky rear ends! I'm pretty sure this gasket will fix the leak in your rear end! It was time to do some maintenance on my 2005 Yukon, as it was sitting at just under 160K (which is okay for these types of vehicles if they're In sum, the front diff had been exchanged, but the drivetrain (transfer case and rear diff) were never It was inevitable that I would need a new differential cover and "GASKET"
5/5

Replaced both of them, which was a great move. What a waste. The oil in a diff gear is black black black. I was surprised, however, to find that the end play was within specifications. So I put on the new cover and gasket and sealed the area. A 50K contract is great, knowing I don't have to think about it at all. It is right, there are no leaks from the rear differential.

Felt gasket with a thin layer
4/5

Put TWO of them to good use! I installed this with a new differential cover and a surface that had been cleaned perfectly. We installed the gasket using permatex silicone gasket sealant on both sides. Seems there is some seepage after tightening it down. I used the torque wrench to tighten the bolts to 25 ft-lbs I finally was able to stop the leak from weighing over 50 lbs. Gaskets are made of felt, a very thin Whenever I undertake such a task again, I will probably utilize two of these gaskets together.

Good gasket
5/5

Fits the rear end of a 1999 Suburban equipped with 10 bolts. I will never use RTV silicone on the rear end. It is one of the two gaskets I will ever need. The torque on everything will be fine as long as you torque it in a criss-cross pattern The mating surfaces need to be cleaned, and cross pattern will ensure the leak doesn't occur. The one I use is this one, or I buy a "Lube Lockr" if I think I'm going to pull the cover off again soon, since they are designed to keep things from sticking to the housing It is possible to reuse Lockr in some way.

It is a perfect match for the This is fel- The Pro gasket is paper and was packaged in cardboard shrink wrap
5/5

Using a new differential cover and bolts, installed the new differential cover on top of the old washer, cleaned the mounting flange on the differential housing, and dried it completely. This bolt pattern is the perfect match for existing 10 bolt patterns. The seal is intact after 2 weeks with no leaks or seepage. For over a year I have been using For my valve covers and oil pan, I have used Pro gaskets. All of them fit perfectly and have served their purpose well.

The exact fit for a 2001 GMC Sonoma 4X4 may be found at Amazon
3/5

It is comprised of three levels of SLS. This is incorrect. The statement is not accurate. Gaskets like these were ordered from the manufacturer. This is fel- The RDS55028 is a PRO license. This gasket is for one rear axle housing. In Amazon's description, Amazon states that it is a perfect fit for my 2001 GMC Sonoma 4X4. It is a 3L SLS. Trying to install it, it is way too big, stating that it will not fit. Due to Amazon's claim that returns are free for this item, I decided to return it. However, Amazon says it has closed the return window. This resulted in a loss of about $6. The time difference is just a minor inconvenience, I just wish I had checked it earlier. The gain goes to Amazon and the loss goes to me. Before ordering, you ought to make sure it will fit your vehicle, and you ought to check the size within a reasonable time frame after your order.
