During the installation of my Chevy 305, I installed this. After cleaning the wheel balancer with rubbing alcohol before application, it has held firmly to the vehicle. Both car and engine were jacked up, then it was applied from the bottom while hand cranking the engine. I spent about 15 minutes total. In spite of the engine regularly turning over 5000 rpm, there are no ill effects shown on the tape. As a result, it is virtually impossible to miss the contrast between the colors. It is not always easy to read timing marks, but it is not terrible either. I edited it It has been about 18 months, and the tape has taken a bit of a bite out of the tape. A new one is on its way to replace it and I will take better care when The street conditions would not allow this to happen, and I can't find anything else that looks like it may work better, so I'm not upset.
I found it to work great.
I laugh at your jokes. This tape is terrible. I laugh at your jokes. I was able to take it off without any issues. My math skills allowed me to measure it, mark it and install some blue 3M painter's tape. I was able to get it to work, and it's still.
The first thing I want to know is why do these cost so much from Mr Gasket. It was glued into the package, so I had to use a razor blade to hold it free of the packaging it was in. The shrink wrap was older than the packaging, but I was able to remove it from the package with a razor blade. From the packaging, the tape also pulled off some of the printing. Thank goodness the part that needed to be removed was at the middle My first step was to wash the pulley in brake cleaner, then lightly sand it as well as wipe it clean The vehicle must be placed from under it. Roll the as you position In order to prevent the tape from forming a wing and taking off, I applied finger smugs of silicone at the start and end of the tape. As far as sticky tape goes, this is pretty poor stuff. manufacturers were smart, they would make it out of that really sticky aluminum tape that is used in air duct sealing and in home air conditioning Those are the best tapes you can buy for a task such as this. It would be best if I went ahead and patented that idea right now!.
