Older models are compatible with this product?

I believe it fits the chevy small block, as it includes the dipsticks on both sides. It fits well, indeed.

Are you expecting it to be very tight fitting? A gap of about half an inch exists on each side, but the pan fits perfectly without using the gasket?

I noticed no gaps in this gasket, it fit like a glove, and there has never been a leak after installation. You have to make sure it is the correct part number for your particular engine and year, small block Chevys have changed in the late 1970's

Could you please tell me if you have any pan gaskets like these that would fit my 74' Chevy SBC?

The feeling I had was that there was something The Pro Permana Dry Plus, model # 375, is available at Sears. The OS34510T is designed to fit all GM 2 piece rear main seal SBC engines manufactured from 1975 through 1986!

Can you tell me if the front seal is bigger than the rear seal?

It is a very good gasket, the hardware is of good quality, the fit is good, but it did create a leak-free environment after the installation was completed. It is possible to seal the system all the way around the pan (including the front timing cover and the It was one of the most challenging parts of installing this gasket There were no less than 3 worst jobs I have ever done because every possible thing that could have gone wrong has done so (the whole installation took more than 2 In the plastic guides, you can find the words "Fit-to- Ups are important, I was able to safely install the four corners, but I had trouble getting the pan into place. The gasket is so thick that it was impossible to press upwards enough to get the pan close enough to the engine block so that any bolts could be started, and any attempts I made to force the pan into position caused the driver's side of the gasket to It was necessary to use small picks and screwdriver tools to arrange the flange bolt holes with the gasket and block while I pressed the pan upward with a floor jack to allow the gasket and pan to seat into place and the flange bolts to be started. There is a great deal of value in this I was able to install the product, but it was quite laborious.

There will be no leaks anymore

The front and rear pans are now much better sealed than with cork gaskets and rubber. My exhaust system was getting really tired of chasing leaks in the pan because I cannot drop the pan while the engine is still on I installed it and haven't had any more leaks since. There are thick and thin versions available, just make sure you get the right one for your timing cover to oil pan fitment. We have the thick version of this one.

I used it on the pan's side to ensure it would not cause any problems. They bolts were a little short but just long enough to get thread on both sides to draw the pan in nonsense many people were using jacks to do this I used my elbow to start both sides and worked my way down both sides of the pan simply lena's that way.

The rear main seal on this page does not fit the 1999 one-piece rear seal

Based on the instructions, I ordered this for my 1999 5 as it suggested it would work with it. The motor was supposed to be a GM 0 and come with hardware. The part is for a rear main seal for a GM engine with two pieces. It did come with blue clips, but no hardware accompanied it. I am returning the gasket for the correct one. The one piece rear main seal comes with hardware, but does it come with a gasket set? My indication is that this was a gift card refund. Where was the refund sent? A refund is not available due to the lack of a gift card.

The gasket looks nice

A heavy duty gasket that is really nice. While it is a bit of a hassle to work with because it is heavy duty, it does seal up pretty well! Unlike the old fashioned cork gasket, it is completely leak-proof and much more durable.

You should not buy this oil pan gasket if you're looking for a Buick oil pan gasket

I ordered this item thinking it would fit an Buick 350 but it is for a Chevy small block, not a Buick small block. The picture I ordered showed a flat oil pan gasket but what I received was not a flat oil pan gasket.

It was a good gasket

The pros are This gasket is much better than ordinary gaskets, and it includes the guides and longer screws necessary to attach it to the pan. I had to use a floor jack against the pan to begin the screws because it was difficult to squeeze the gasket enough. Compared to alternatives, it is more expensive.
