In my 2008 Mini Clubman (N12 engine), I had to replace a failing timing chain guild, which necessitated removing the oil pan and removing broken plastic pieces. This gasket made reinstalling the pan a breeze, and while it didn't leak at first, it now has a steady drip and is leaking past the seal toward the front/transmission side of the pan after about 500 miles. Before installing this gasket, I cleaned all of the parts thoroughly and torqued all of the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. I'm not sure why it leaks, but I might buy it again and fill small gaps with a thin layer of RTV next time.
All of the holes lined up perfectly, and the gasket was well made. When putting it together, don't use any adhesive or silicone. Ensure that the surfaces are clean and that the bolts are torqued to the factor specifications. For the price, I would suggest this gasket.
The gasket is incredible. Our mini had a leak due to the factory's use of only silicon sealant. It would cause smoke from oil leaking onto the exhaust and a burnt oil odor in the cabin at 7 years old and 98576 miles. BMW requested a fee of $650 to complete the task. We were able to do it for less than $100.
On my 2008 Cooper S, it was a perfect fit.
In my Mini Cooper, it was perfect.
