I had a similar experience, so look for leaks in the oil filter housing gasket as well. Rather than replacing the upper oil pan gasket, I decided to replace the lower oil pan gasket. That upper one is a little tricky. Best of luck.
There is an upper and lower gasket for that application when I look it up. The lower one is OS30687R, and the upper one is OS34309R.
This gasket is for the lower steel portion of a two-piece oil pan; the upper half is alum. It will not fit a one-piece stamped oil pan. I used it on my 99 4. 0 h. If you have a two-piece motor, you should be able to use it.
There was no need for sealant because it was already applied.

Perfectly 0 SOHC. In my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4, this sealed up the lower pan. 0 SOHC nicely, and I've been checking for seepage every drive. br>Because the lower pan is so simple to replace, I took a chance on this gasket in the hopes that it would permanently seal up my engine. Unfortunately, I'm now convinced that the upper pan gasket is another source of leakage, and I'm not going to touch that PITA! br>It appears that this truck will die with a minor oil leak for the rest of its days.
There isn't much to say about Fel- Pro gaskets are some of the best gasket manufacturers on the market. I had some issues with delivery, which caused my gasket to bend a little.
I tried a few times but couldn't get the leaks to stop. I went out and got permatex, the right stuff, and I was done and the leaks were stopped in under two minutes.
The gasket is very thick. Pushing the pins through the oil pan holes was a little difficult, but they fit perfectly now.
It was inconvenient for me, and they never changed it.
The very best.
My 2006 V6 Mustang was a perfect fit. No more leaks on my garage floor thanks to this high-quality part. There's no need for any silicone.
Very good condition.
