Stainless steel coated with zinc. It still looks exactly like the day I installed it after over a year of use. The surface is free of rust etc.
There are two answers to this question yes and no. The fuel line IS supposed to be used for fuel, not for transmission cooling. It's called a "Fuel Line" for good Zinc coatings inside the body of the body are designed to prevent corrosion With fuel only it is resistant. You should not use transmission fluid or any other fluid to fill your car. It can corrode the inner pipe and cause damage to other parts. As a matter of principle, I would not use it.
My fuel line is thick enough instead of thin-walled for me. I don't know how thick it is in millimeters, but for my fuel line I considered it to be sufficient.

The listing may have been updated but I bought this knowing (and wanting) a plated steel line and I gladly got it. A quality bender should be able to bend it just fine. out of the blue just because, and there was no kinking it was clean and simple.
An alternative to stainless steel would be zinc plated steel. Both times, the 25' zinc plated steel as opposed to the 20' stainless steel was delivered to me. There is a mistake on Allstar's website - ALL48327 is for steel, ALL48320 is for stainless steel. Even though I informed Amazon twice about this, I have still never received the correct part, even though the erroneous one was picked up.
According to the manufacturer's website, it is zinc coated steel. The description on Amazon is wrong. Not sure why this product is still being sold there. A description of part number ALL48328 (this product) is available on All Star Tubing's website In this case, the items "Standard Zinc Coiled Tubing" and ALL48322 (not the item, but borrowing the description) seem like they would be The term "Stainless Coiled Tubing" describes the material. The feedback in this case was missed by me, as I usually check it. The correct description, and return shipping, are expected to be handled by Amazon. Amazon must also pay for the return shipping.
The connection is not 3/8 inch in diameter, but in diameter thus it could not be used. Certain older ( classic ) types of vehicles may not be compatible with this product. In the case of using a beader, such as earls 008erl, it will most certainly not work. In other words, it does not look like a stainless steel line it looks like quality steel. As usual, my shipment was delivered on time.
I figured it out by the price and by reading the reviews that the fuel line was NOT stainless steel, The stainless steel product advertised in the advertisement would have been more negatively reviewed if it were what I expected. It was only for my farm vehicles that I needed the fuel line, so I was very pleased with the product I.
The quality of the work is excellent. It was in perfect condition and had no kinks or ovals. The entire 25ft length was able to be fitted with a compression fitting on both ends without.
For the price, this fuel pipe is good.
