When I brought the item into the house, I noticed the silver bag inside the motorcraft bag was damaged, and it looked like it might have been dragged across the floor or thrown to the side. As soon as I opened it to look at the IPR valve, I saw that it had broken into There was a clean break in the plastic connector. There was not even a semblance of holding on to it. The person who bagged this item must have dropped it onto something hard to cause the snap to happen. The key is absolutely necessary for me to drive my truck, so I'm very disappointed!.
This part works to the best of its ability. Authentic original Ford part in its original packaging, not cheap imitation aftermarket garbage from China. I had no problems whatsoever. If you don't want to deal with the connector, you'll have to buy the custom socket. There is no room for a normal wrench and the socket is in the way. With Ford 6, it's always a good time.
Well worth the money. 100% authentic Ford motorcraft part, installed in the truck, runs like a new one.
