I am running an Edelbrock carburetor and this unit doesn't clear the throttle area. This became necessary after it had to be modified (bent) to fit and allow throttle to function properly. As a result, it did not appear to be hardened, as it was very easy to bend to get Overkill may be the best way to describe the double springs.
I am very pleased with this purchase. ELECTRIC AIR CLEANER WORKS PERFECTLY except for interference from the return spring on the drop base style air cleaner. During spring acceleration and extension, the base of the air cleaner sits on top of the return springs. My idle began to rise and stay there when I noticed it. just removed the drop base and it was perfect. I'm likely to replace it with another cleaner because my throttle response and stability is really good with this product.
The mounting rod fits nicely and looks good. This information could have been included, or optional parts from PQY could have been included. My next step will be to fabricate the parts required.
Even though it was not designed for Mopar engines, it can be easily installed. There are a few cables that are a bit further away from the carb or throttle body mechanism than it would normally be, but they are not too difficult to work with.
It fits perfectly and is very comfortable The ones at the higher price are just as nice.
particularly liked that you could adjust the bracket's height and it had a movable return spring so you could dial in the stiffness of the accelerator pedal.
