It came in an original Honda bag, but I couldn't find just the gasket at any Honda dealership; they only had the entire assembly. I haven't had a leak yet, so wish me luck. Vtec continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
The shop manual specifies a torque of 12 N*m (1.25 N*m) for the 10 mm screws. kgf*m = 2 kgf*m = 8 kgf*m = 2 kgf* lbf*ft = 7 lbf*ft = 7 lbf*ft It was simple to replace the top gasket before moving on to the bottom. I didn't have to use a vice to hold the solenoid body in place this way.
Please get in touch with us so we can send you a replacement and figure out what went wrong. This will be the first time a kit has been replaced because it has leaked. My S2000 is nearing the end of its useful life. The pair of gaskets arrived quickly, and it was simple to figure out how to replace them by watching videos on YouTube. br>br>I had no leaks in my gaskets. I had this item on my wish list and decided to purchase it when the price dropped. br>br>While the solenoid assembly was on the car, I replaced the top gasket. It was simple to remove these screws. When putting the gasket together, I used some motor oil to lubricate it and keep it in place in the channel. br>br>After that, I changed the gasket with the filter screen by replacing the other three bolts. I wasn't expecting these to be as tight as they were. The threads appeared to be rough and whitish. I made the decision to employ anti-virus software. To avoid further corrosion in the tapped block holes, use a seize when installing these. All bolts must be torqued to 12 N*m. To ensure planar seating, I tightened the screws one at a time. Thank you for making these items available. br>br> They appear to be of good quality, according to what I've read. If I don't respond, know that I didn't have any leaks.
I had an oil leak on my 2005 S2K, and it was especially bad on cold starts because the Upper VTEC Solenoid seal was old and stiff, allowing oil to pass through like nothing and leak profusely. Kraken Seals worked like magic, and you could tell a huge difference in how old my old one was compared to the new one by tossing the old one on the ground, which shattered because it was so old and brittle. After a five-minute fix, there is no longer any oil leak, and I am able to sleep more soundly at night. br>br>MUST BUY FOR ANYONE WHO IS EXPERIENCING THIS COMMON S2K PROBLEM!.
Kraken was suggested as the best option for the upper VTEC seal on the internet. Everything was made easier by the fact that they sold both at the same time. Honda only sells the lower seal, and it costs twice as much as the upper seal. br>br>Most importantly, the product functions properly. It was suggested as the way to go on an s2000 forum, and my experience was similar to others'. Since the installation, there have been no leaks.
There have been no leaks in the first few hundred miles. For my S2000, it was exactly what I needed.
It took me about 1 hour to complete the installation. I looked for any leaks the day before yesterday, but there were none. The Kraken Automotive products have exceeded my expectations. Thank you very much.
Excellent substitute part.
I purchased a gasket from a different company, which immediately leaked. This was purchased as a replacement and has been performing admirably for quite some time.
Here's a shot of the previous one. They have a pancake-like flatness to them. Now, thanks to Kraken, I can slay jettas and scream "whoooo" after whispering "too soon Jr. " Thank you so much, Kraken, for literally saving my vtech.
