Since I began scouring the internet for an affordable LS2 throttle body to resolve multiple DTCs (there is no safety in Reduced Performance/Safety Mode on the highway), my 2005 GTO A4 has been essentially undriveable for the past 6 months. I am grateful for the LS1GTO forum for giving me the confidence to install this LS3 throttle body after everyone else informed me they can't be interchanged. Having disconnected the negative, I cut the power. I replaced the original battery, replaced the throttle body, reconnected the battery, erased the history of any DTCs with a scanner, and started the car. I now have almost 200 miles with no DTCs, no Safety Mode, and no problems. My LS2 throttle body costs less than a new one! I've updated the 10AUG2020 Update for your information We are still having no issues with compatibility a year later. It was only a few months ago that I drove across the The throttle response is as good as new, and no DTCs were present.
I have driven about 20 miles in it so far without any issues. One of the cheaper ones for *$70 did not work for more than 1/4 mile before putting the car into limp mode (and that was a more severe limp mode, car would shake violently, wouldn't even idle, etc. ) I will update this review if something changes.

There is a throttle body for the 05-2006 GTO that I have, but it is not for the 2005-2006 model Compared to this car, the 06 GTO is much more expensive. If you have an LS2 Corvette, this is not the throttle for you it is for an 05-2010 model There is a difference between the PCMs in the 06 and 07 GTOs.
