This is for students in grades 05 and up. I rated it three out of five stars. It arrived in one day and was in excellent condition, with a sturdy board; however, it states that this 4 pin fits 03- 07 6. 0 f350. In reality, there is a 7-pin ficm in 2003 and early 2004. The four pins are only found on models 05 and up. My truck is still down while I wait for a 7 pin ficm because the part was misrepresented. Smh.
In a 2004 6, I installed a replacement FICM. 0 was used to replace an old FICM that was showing 31 V but was still operational. br>THE TRUCK WAS UNABLE TO START. Even though the OBD monitor showed 48 V, the engine simply turned over and blew white smoke (this was not the case before, even with the bad original FICM). br>I put the old one back in just to be sure, and it started right up (not great because it was in the low 30s, but it started and ran at 31 V). So, it was a complete waste of my time. br>I'm guessing it will be a waste of yours as well? br>I DO NOT WANT THIS COMPANY TO PROVIDE ME WITH A REPLACEMENT.
2006 Ford F-250 6. Under acceleration, I'm having problems with no power, surging, and cylinder contribution codes. When the ficm was idle, the voltage remained constant at 48 volts, but when the load was applied, the voltage began to drop dramatically. I bought this unit and installed it, and it works perfectly. It's a great deal for the money.
It started at 48VDC, dropped to 39VDC shortly after, and then gradually recovered. I noticed it drop to 42VDC every now and then while driving down the highway. br>The voltage ranges from 47 to 50 after installing this board. 5 to 49. 5VDC.
0 horsepower. On the FICM output voltage, I was getting a low reading (into the 30s). The installation is simple; just make sure to remove all of the screws and use the correct torx bits. So far, everything has gone well!.
Six months later, we were still having battery problems, and after replacing the alternator twice and both batteries, we discovered that the FICM was to blame. This low-cost component ended up costing us a grand in the long run.
It came in a very nice package and worked perfectly; just take your time and don't rush it. It took about 2 hours for me to complete this task.
