I decided to try APDTY's "MADE IN USA" power supply after reading about FICM's factory power supply degrading due to low quality Chinese parts. When comparing the quality of the pcb and soldering to that of the factory, it was night and day. Thank you so much for such a high-quality part!!.
There were no instructions or new insulation pieces for the bottom, so I only got the power board. The construction is superior to what I had previously. I just finished watching a YouTube video that was very straightforward. If the new insulation had been included, I would have given it five stars. I would purchase this item again.
When cold, the old FICM measured 27 volts. This one is constantly rocking at 48 mph, and the truck started and ran perfectly at 27 mph right away. I wish I hadn't changed the glow plugs and harnesses without first double-checking this.
It was installed today, and I was able to complete my 6-month trial period. Problems with cold starting in the 0s. It'll take time to see if it's a good product, but I'm glad it's made in the United States. Instructions for installing it can be found on YouTube videos. Happy!.
It wasn't difficult to find a replacement. Once I had the FICM out, it only took me about 20 minutes. If you don't remove the four screws underneath the small access plate on top, you won't be able to separate the two halves; the entire assembly is a large circuit board, so use ESD controls. (I. Wear a grounding strap, don't touch the circuit board more than is absolutely necessary, and so on. ).
This was a huge help in solving my issue. If you're mechanically inclined, this is a breeze to put together. If you aren't, you should be. Have someone who is well-versed in the field. The FICM itself is the most difficult part to remove and install.
350 6. 0 van. When it wasn't plugged in, I had problems with cold starts and long cranks. When I accelerated hard, it started throwing a few engine codes, all of which were for different cylinders but all of which were "low voltage fuel injector. " My cold cranks and engine codes have vanished since I replaced the FICM. This is an excellent item.
I was getting circuit errors on all injectors, but the engine was still running fine, so I replaced the FICM board and the problem was solved. It's as simple as following the insert instructions and plugging it in. The issue was resolved. 2006 Ford F250 6. 0PS.
