The program did exactly what it said it would do! It's crucial that you drill the hole straight; if you don't, you'll have to buy a new head! I could only get the last chunk of glow plug out by starting the engine and blowing it out. DO NOT STAND IN FRONT OF THE CAR WHILE DOING THIS, OR YOU WILL END UP IN THE HOSPITAL! A BLANKET OR SOMETHING TO CATCH THE CHUNK SHOULD BE PLACED OVER THE ENGINE. WARNING: USE CAUTION. I just wanted to put a disclaimer out there. It also removes any debris from the cylinder. You'll almost certainly need a 10mmx1 as well. 0 helicoil kit, or whatever threads you want to use. best of luck!.

Due to the lack of clearance, I was still unable to reach the final glow plug near the fire wall. It's not the kit's fault because it works. Even though I'm an experienced machinist, I had to pay close attention to every detail in order to succeed. This is a professional tool that should only be used by a skilled mechanic. Purchase it for your favorite mechanic or shop. Buy it for a night of repair and a few beers, not for a night of repair and a few beers.

It was a hunk of junk that would have been replaced if I hadn't been a machinist. I was only able to put a insert into the head by chance, so stay away from it if you're a capable mechanic.

What should I do first? Some of the equipment is functional, while others are not. Although the bits are of poor quality, the taps perform admirably. It may work for some, but it was a wash in my 2014 TDI Jetta. To solve my problem, I had to purchase extra parts and a helicoil kit.

If the drill shank had been the correct diameter, it would have been perfect. br>The 8mm drill bit's shank was oversized by a factor of. 014" (. 404"). br>The 10mm drill bit works perfectly (. The spindle/chuck has a 390" diameter. br>I wasn't expecting much for the money, but I was hoping to drill out two glow plugs in a small Kubota tractor.
