It appeared to be well-made. The fit was a little off because they were longer than the stock Ford ones. They removed the code I was receiving, and all of the glow plugs are now operational. But here's the rub: I'm having trouble with this. After a year, several of the ports on the harness that connect to the glow plugs have started to leak oil. As a result, there's a steady drip coming down the back of my engine. I can't seem to find any information on who I should contact to get this resolved. I'm not looking forward to having to redo these jobs so soon.
If you don't use the tool that comes with it to install it, you'll break the plastic. It also aids in the removal of older ones that have become stuck. Harnesses work just as well as those at the dealership, which are ridiculously overpriced. Despite the fact that this harness is designed for the 2005-2006 model year, it can be used with any It is compatible with the number 07; however, it is not recommended for use with the number 04 too; The extra wire on the early model will have to be taped up.
Installed on a car that isn't used very often. They've already fallen short. There is no continuity on several cylinders in both harnesses, which will require further inspection. Wires are likely to be melted or broken. I'll keep you up to date on my discoveries.
For the price of this kit, you won't be able to get one side from a dealer. They're the same quality as the OEMs, with the exception that you'll have to swap out one holder on the passenger side harness, which isn't a huge deal.
This is something I'd order again if I had the opportunity.
So two thumbs up, or five stars in this case.
Glow plugs and the electrical harnesses that power them are a problem for diesel trucks. These harnesses are well constructed and perform admirably.
