This tool can also be used to access the left fuel tank retaining nut on the XC90 without having to remove the large frame under the seat bottom, saving technicians a lot of time when compared to using the taller factory tool.
DESIGN--The teeth design complements the plastic lock ring perfectly, preventing damage to the lock ring during installation and removal.
BENEFIT--The leverage provided allows you to easily and quickly lock or remove the retaining nut. It's critical to use this tool to avoid damaging the plastic lock ring when servicing a fuel pump.

I bought this tool and was able to turn the lock ring another half turn, which fixed the leak. Don't make the same mistake as me and buy the tool first.
