This isn't for the Impreza or Forester. If you have a vin number, call your local dealer and they will help you sort it out. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
It is appropriate for the year 2006. Subaru has been using the same part number for years, so I'm guessing it'll work. Check the shape of the cover by lifting up the trunk paneling and looking at the top of the fuel pump.
The part you'll need for the fuel pump to tank is 42025AG000. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
I'm not certain if it'll work on this model. We don't have any models from Japan that we can swap out. Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

2007 Subaru WRX sedanbr>There isn't much to say about this except don't do what I did. br>It was late, so I decided to sawp my fuel pump; it was a pain getting the pump in and out, and I was exhausted when I reinstalled it. The alignment "hairs" kept laying over because I couldn't get them to thread through the holes in the pump cap. Before inserting the fuel pump into the hole, pull the hairs through the cap. Before installing the pump, make sure the gasket is in place. I'd grown tired of being frustrated, and as I drove home from work, I reflected on it. As I approached my driveway, it hit me.
It was a perfect fit for my 2005 STi. Because of my old, leaky gasket, I was able to fix the infamous P0442 CEL. It appears to be a genuine OEM part, as it arrived in standard plastic bag packaging with a part number sticker on it.
It was a perfect match for my son's Legacy Outback from 1997. It was simple to install, and the car no longer smelled like gasoline. It turned out that I didn't need a new fuel tank gasket after all. The fuel pump was replaced by the previous owner, and the person who did the work didn't line up the holes in the gasket with the bolt studs on the fuel tank correctly. But I went ahead and installed the new one anyway, and it works perfectly, with no leaks.
It was a perfect fit in my 2006 Forester.
Use new gaskets and seals whenever you replace your fuel pump.
What more could you ask for than a perfect fit and a thick gasket to compensate for my custom installation on an old bug? It also has nipples to keep it attached to the pump sending unit, which is a bonus.
