Was difficult to tell if it was an exact replacement for the 1994 4 cylinder. A fine mesh fabric seemed to fit very well, and the camry seemed to be close to the original size. If the fuel pump is replaced without the fuel filter, I would consider replacing both elements. Interestingly, the fuel tank has a fine strainer surrounding the fuel pump area, which plus the filter is making me wonder whether the engine compartment fuel filter is true to its lifetime rating.
The area inside the tank was clean and debris free. An old strainer had some metal particles at the bottom. I am not sure what source it came from unless it was the.

Into my 1985 Celica Supra I installed the new pump. Fitted the pump perfectly, but because it was a little long and difficult to sit in the tank, it was not perfect. But reusing the old one is better than not using it at all.

Nissan Maxima 1994

This is not an original Nissan Maxima part. Fuel Pump replacement for this product does not fit OE fuel pumps. Click here to view photos The main connection fits, but the angle of the keeper is not correct. It will not fit the protection barrier in the fuel tank for the inner fuel pump.
It has a lip that interferes with the fuel pump connection next to the main connection. The fuel level float is interfered with by the filter because it is too long.

Filter/strainer upgrade for the fuel system

My electric fuel pump arrived (in-process ) for my Jeep Cherokee, and I noticed the filter that came with it was only a single mesh unit with an odd "T-" It interfered with the float gauge arm operation in the sending unit by leaving a "footprint" in the tank. A Delphi unit that fitted my application also proved to be available and I A high quality design, this Delphi Fuel Pump Strainer is made up of multiple layers of reinforced mesh and a structural interior to keep the filters from collapsing as my old one did when it loaded up with contaminants! With the new fuel pump I installed it after a thorough tank rehab, and it has really worked well.
