Although, you will have to put a lot of effort into it. OEM is the same size and shape as this part. 92 Corvette should be fine (easy to set up).

You should try to get as close as possible to the original. Volvo is now the owner of the rights to the original parts used by Delphi. Additionally, USA made products are available. They fitted very well on the new Delphi / AC low pressure pump that I put in my '89 240, and are much better than the originals that were falling.
