The main fuel line is 5/16, and the return line is 1/4.
I bought this fuel filter to fix my son's vapor lock issue on his F100. It's a great fuel filter for the price. We got the desired result this way. As a result, we are no longer experiencing vapor lock issues when we run the offset nipple back to the fuel tank. It is a great fuel filter. I have no regrets.
In a nutshell, In running this filter, you can feel the fuel getting cooler and that most of the air that enters from vapor lock and etc is going back to the tank. Wixs told me the 1/4 return to tank needs to be at 12 O clock as air rises. It was at full temperature on a nasty hot day, no problems, and it had vapor lock in the past as well.
Having a carb conversion (with an EFI removed) allowed me to eliminate the vapor lock on my Trooper. Ideally, you want the return port at the 12 o'clock position so that it is as close to the carb as possible.
I had a problem with a vapor lock that this product solved.
According to its description, it is working. My fuel return line is smaller than the vapor nipple, but I used two clamps for it.
This is a really good item, I plan to use it as a bypass type filter to prevent vapor lock in my old vintage cars.
I'll take 2 great deals. You shouldn't be on the fence if you want to get one.
