Questions & Answers

Can this fit into the deep dish pans or is it going to ?

This is 4R70W , not for deep oil pans. A deep oil pan is an oil pan. This is a filter, the filter is inside a valve, so I think it'll work fine.

Does it come with a gasket for the pan?

O Ring 'gaskets' come with the filter and fit on top of it. A reusable pan gasket is included with the filter since it fits a 4R700w transmission.

How do I obtain a retail package of the Motorcraft FT105 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit, if you are selling it? What kind of retail packaging does it have? Are there any Motorcraft Part Numbers on it?

Ordering from someone else may or may not be a good idea. The seller '5% off free shipping' aka Wellington Parts was the seller I ordered this item from in September. The product was not in retail packaging when it was delivered to me. Even though it appears to be a genuine Motorcraft part, there are no markings on the part itself or on the plastic bag it was packaged So I guess I'm just going to have to trust the seller's word. this is so that the cost of shipping can be decreased.

Despite it being stated that it won't fit the 4R75E transmission, I cannot seem to find anything that does. Are you sure that this is not a typo or is it a real problem?

does fit the 4R75E transmission, so there is no typo. I appreciate your help *br> Thanks

The OEM replacement is exactly the same as the original
5/5

My 2004 Ford Expedition XLT has over 160,000 miles and since it had never been changed on my vehicle, I felt it was a good time for me to change the transmission filter before I went on a road trip. As I've mentioned before, the new filter shipped quickly and came exactly as I expected it to be and also fit perfectly. The seal gasket that pushes into the transmission came with it and is ready to be installed. In these Ford transmissions, the Transmission Pan gasket is reusable, so you just need to get the filter (Check your vehicle's manual for this first). It was quite easy to drop the pan, but I did get the Ford OEM Mercon V from Amazon and it was on the way. Filling it up to factory specifications was easy for me and effortless. This week will be my first chance to put some miles on the car and check for leaks, although so far I haven't noticed any! I was blown away by how smooth the shifts are, and how smooth the ride is! The whole process was done by me. I had the vehicle until my parents decided to trade it in for a new vehicle. It ran flawlessly during that time. Sadly, I have no choice but to cry (haha). Despite that, the vehicle was always trustworthy after changing that transmission filter, there was never any hesitation or slippage, and I made sure to use Ford Mercon V Automatic Transmission Fluid to stay true to the factory specification.

It is a direct replacement
5/5

At the same time as I installed the timing kit on my truck, I changed my trans filter. Please do not panic if you see a yellow plug, again, do not panic if you find a YELLOW PLUG. Your first entry means that you're the first person in the room. During the manufacture of the trans, they sealed the dipstick hole with a plug, and when the tube is installed they insert the plug into the trans and leave it You can just throw it away.

OEM Part that is of outstanding quality
5/5

Great filter, with A transmission fluid and filter should be changed after every 25,000 miles if it's automatic. The money you save will be worth it in the end. Changing the filter should always be the first step after dropping the pan. Any time you flush it, don't use a machine. You will have transmission problems if you do this. It will need to be cleaned off anyway since it has a magnet. Unless you are an expert on cars, your dealer might not replace the filter. Seek out a mechanic if you are not confident. If you changed the oil instead of replacing the oil filter, I didn't think you'd do that!.

I have a 2005 F150 that fits the bill
5/5

Despite its shortcomings, it does the job it was It somehow managed to slip out of the fluid pickup hole for the pump last time I used a duralast filter while I was off-roading, and my transmission began to slip. The pan was just lying in the pan after I attempted to troubleshoot it for quite some time. The long and short of it is that I will only use motorcraft transmission filters. It would be better if they had retaining bolts like GM and Dodge do.

The fit and the function are perfect
5/5

The purpose of this purchase was to replace a filter I was changing from "whatever" to "Mercon V". As a matter of fact, the fluid did fix the shudder problem. Before you try to install the new filter, keep in mind that you need to remove the plastic seal from the valve body. Use the Internet to find out how-tos You may need to videotape the meeting if you wish. It does not come with a gasket for the pan. It is not necessary for you to have It is possible to reuse the factory gasket.

As of yet, there haven't been any issues
5/5

The filter does exactly what it says. Does what it's supposed to and looks like the one that came off of the grand marquis (06). - The quality appeared to be the same. Besides that, there isn't much else to tell. As the gasket came already installed on the neck, make sure to take out the old gasket when you pull the old filter out if it doesn't stay on the neck.

The Ford F150 was built in 1999
5/5

The replacement engine made by Romeo fits perfectly in the original mount. The engine and transmission were both original, and they have not needed any maintenance or replacement in over 290000 Despite never having been serviced, the transmission still had a lot of life left in it. On the bottom of the transmission pan, there was three quarters of an inch of black sludge and half an inch of transmission fluid. This filter effectively stopped all noise coming from my transmission after I thoroughly cleaned the pan including the magnet, which by the way looked like a large donut once the pan was opened and the original plastic plug removed. Every time I accelerated, I heard a loud screaming sound. As well as the two gears I never knew I had, I also have two new ones now. Everything is almost as smooth and quiet as it was when the shifts were A 300,000-mile transmission won't give you perfect results, but I am happy that my truck held up well for so long. This is a very good series and not nearly so challenging as people make out.

Rather than screen, this is felt
3/5

This is a filtration spx felt filter, I was hoping it had to be a screen filter because it says motorcraft screen on the bag.
