6 years ago, I purchased it. Neither do I recall receiving any written instructions.
Your truck will have an electric choke, so follow the instructions for how to use it.
Yes, you must first pull the inside wire past the outer cable's cut point.
It will work, but you'll need to do some engineering to make it fit and function properly. Have you had your choke examined by a mechanic friend? It's possible that all it needs is a good cleaning and adjusting. I hope this helps.

In the back of my pickup truck, which I use to tow the RV, I added an auxiliary fuel tank. When I have the tonneau cover on or don't want to get a small ladder to reach over the bed rail and engage the valve, I use this to make it easy to open the valve on the auxiliary tank from the back of my truck. It worked as expected after a few tweaks.
This worked perfectly in my 1987 Dodge Van with a 360 V-8 engine. All of the components fit together perfectly in the 8 Engine. For extra cable stability, I used both mounting brackets. The directions state that the light-emitting diode (LED) should be used. A single mounting bracket and a shorter cable are included in the duty choke kit. This is the Heavy Duty kit, which comes with two mounting brackets as well as a longer cable. I also installed a manual choke for the first time. Because the hardware is so small, I recommend using a magnetized screwdriver. With the magnetic screwdriver, I was able to retrieve the small lock washers and nuts that had fallen into the valleys of the engine block.
The object is immovable. It's pointless. This is of no use to anyone. It will not change or adjust in any way. It was locked up tight right out of the box. Because 0 isn't an option, I only gave it one star. I requested warranty assistance via email, but received no response.
It should work fine if you avoid tight bends [less than 1 inch]. The instructions are as complete as they can be for a universal product. Remember, if you kink it, it's your fault, not the product's.
When you try to push the cable back in to reopen the choke, it bends and wastes money. It might work for something like a lawnmower throttle, but not for a car.
It's enough to be alone. Control wire should be stiff enough to pull and push the stiff choke linkage. I had to bend it a few times to get it to move smoothly around other parts.
The product itself is well constructed; the only drawback is that it will not work if the line needs to bend in any way. It must be a straight shot.
On my Farmall tractor, I used it to replace a choke cable. The wide range of Universal brackets made installation a breeze.
