The title conversion kit isn't a clear indication whether it can be used to protect recovery machines, and will the filter go bad between uses as it absorbs ?

If you keep yours sealed when not in use, you can use it on a recovery machine.

Is it possible to install this on top of my vacuum pump to protect it?

If you connect this before the vacuum pump, then you can connect it inline. if you have added this extra protection, you're still going to need to change the vacuum pump oil periodically.

Can you tell me what size of fittings the hose has?

1/4" flare fittings on the hose and filter connect to the units.

Is this a viable method to recover liquids? Vapor should work with it, I think. ?

Actually, the refrigerant should be in liquid form for the filter drier to be most effective!

The filter works great if you are recovering Freon that doesn't have burn out contamination, and when combined with a recovery machine, it will remove moisture A status ring that gives you an idea of how potent the Freon is is included.

Because those units were mixed up, got charged, torn down and rebuilt every 24 weeks and exposed to moisture, I figured that's got to be a quality product lol it seemed to be more costly than I anticipated but I was in a rush so I have no reviews.
