The Mercury filter, in my opinion, has a finer element than the Quicksilver version. Both fit. Both techniques are effective. For years, I've been using the Quicksilver version on a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Mercury 50 EFI is a 50cc engine with an EFI fuel injection system. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly. I hope this has been of assistance.
They're fairly standard, and my guess is yes, but I'd double-check with a dealer.
NAPA is a company that sells auto parts. br>To be sure, visit a NAPA store or call to double-check specs. br>br>While salt water is different, there are other brands that can be used in place of the Quicksilver unit in marine applications.
My tank is separate from the tank for an outboard motor that was installed by a dealer, so I don't know. The filter will indicate which thread sizes are compatible with the system; if they fit, they will work. Your manual will tell you what size you need, or you can look up the serial number on your old filter and type it in to find the right match. My filter is mounted on a 90 HP Evinrude outboard motor, by the way.

When I got home, I figured I'd drain, change the fuel, and replace the fitter because the seller had run it for at least 10 minutes. This is what came out of the filter! There was no way for water to get through! Everything was caught in the filtration system. The tank was nearly devoid of water. It was all taken care of by Filter.
This weekend, I ran the boat with no problems.
Unfortunately, despite being a fairly common filter, it appears to be incorrect for my application, as the thread diameter is different. I had a Sierra 18-footer with me at the time. Although I had a 7789 filter installed, I preferred the Mercruiser filter. I looked under the original Volvo Penta pn and found this cake, but it is too big. My engine is a Volvo Penta DPX385xEFS DPX385xEFS DPX385xEFS DPX385xEFS DP The filter appears to be of good quality, but it is not suitable for my boat.
This filter was used to replace an old Sierra filter. It was only because it was less expensive that I decided to go with it. At high speeds, I experienced a loss of fuel pressure. The problem was resolved by replacing this filter!.
I'm about to replace this specific filter in order to get my boat ready for the season. Inside, there's a problem with the screws, and the metal inside just spins. Due to the passage of time, I am no longer able to return it. This isn't a mistake on my part; it's a problem with the filter. Hopefully, someone reads this company message and corrects the situation by replacing it with a new one.
Using name brand parts is always a plus. This filter comes at a great price and is delivered quickly. I try to replace the filter once a year, and I've never had any problems with fuel. Fits my 1994 4 perfectly. The engine is a 3L Mercruiser.
I've never had a boat that required a fuel filter as much as this one. Last year, I purchased a boat that had been previously owned. The engine started the first time we went out this year, but it didn't last long. It wouldn't start up again after that. I removed the old filter and replaced it with this one. It's back to normal now.
It's a good idea to change it out once a year at the very least. Before installing it, if possible, fill it with as much gas as possible. Pour old gas into a clear glass jar and leave it to sit for a few days to see if there's any water in it. This is especially true if you're running on ethanol.
