Questions & Answers

With the order, do two filters and a gasket come?

In fact, yes. A frame-mounted filter is included, as well as a filter mounted on the engine. The kit also comes with the gasket and the o-ring A ring is necessary to mount the filter on the frame.

How much does this look like with the old one- What's the deal with the drain rings on the water separator? The big one that seals the housing isn't the one to be used. They're the two little ones sitting on the drains. Is that okay?

The only part that comes with this is the big O ring. I appreciated it!

I have a 2015 f350 6 and want to know if these shoes fit. How much diesel does the 7-liter have?

Fits a 2018 6, but not a 2017 The number 7 is correct, as stated earlier. Upon purchasing, I was notified that it had been updated. Sadly, I have not been able to get anyone to email Therefore, I've got a deal for you!

I changed the fuel filter on my diesel truck and it wouldn't start
5/5

My experience using these filters was shaped by watching a great deal of YouTube videos. According to most people, it was advised not to overtighten the frame mounted canister because of its plastic material, and you might overtighten it and damage My truck started running for about 2 seconds and then died, and I had to crank it again and again, just to start it. I had to tighten it up and go through the purging process six times as they tell you to. A friend with the same problem I found told me to tighten the plastic canister all the way. I did a search on truck not starting after fuel filter change and came across another person with the same issue. The wires were plugged into the canister and I tried to tighten with the socket I'd removed. When it was tight, the canister started moving but stopped after going around 1 more time. Seeing how far it went, I knew that was all it was going to be. The fuel pump under the truck and the pump under the hood ran this time when I turned on the ignition key. You could hear air moving around in the fuel lines as the key was turned on again. It took me six repetitions for the truck to start! You can get bad information from people on you tube, so I don't trust them. If you want to fix this problem for yourself, you should count how many times you turn the filter when removing it, so you'll know who many times it needs to be installed. Once you have done it once, you will feel the stop and understand what I mean.

I'll show you how to install these OEM filters quickly! I now have two sets! They have worked well for me
5/5

OEM replacement filters work really well and come with both the filters and the oil fittings This ring must be installed. Having purchased them twice now because the dealer wanted $180 for a filter change, I bought some more. You probably only need to spend 20 minutes on it I have written up my thoughts The frame rail filter can be changed as follows To remove the sensor harness, and lossen filter housing, you can use a 1 1/4" socket or a 32mm hex key, or If you want to avoid shearing the plastic housing, I recommend a strap wrench. You must turn the valve 3 times to lose the yellow drain valve and drain into a Don't forget to lube your new oil pump Replacing everything with a new ring is necessary. The following is the behavior of the engine filter while chasing It is necessary to remove both fuel line keepers and push the yellow tabs down to get the line keeper out of your way. Remove the other fuel line by squeezing both white tabs down then removing the whole line. The 7mm nut on the fuel filter needs to be loose. Once the nut is loose, turn the fuel filter, lift it, and reinstall it. By turning the key a few times before starting, you can prime the filters.

By doing the job yourself you will save money since the OEM parts include everything needed for installation
5/5

You'll find everything you need for completing the fuel filter installation in this powerful OEM replacement kit. As an unbiased and informed citizen, I was shocked at how much money the dealer was trying to charge me to change the fuel filter. I believe that sellers or mechanics in general sometimes take advantage of people who don't realise how easy standard maintenance is. I bought the parts on my own for a third of the cost of getting the dealer to do it. It just makes sense to learn how to do this job on your own as soon as you realize the job has to be done every 15,000 miles. A word of caution for the install of the white filter that goes under the driver's door near the transfer case make sure that it is not bent or damaged. It's possible to use a giant socket to pull off the part, but you're working with plastic, so I think it's like a 33mm or something! Nevertheless, that strap wrench works so well that you do not crack the part of the inner filter that holds the cap on. You will find two fuel filters under the driver's door, one down on the undercarriage of the vehicle, and one in the hood toward the fire wall on the driver's side. On the filter below, make sure you remove the fuel by turning the yellow After removing the sensor cables from the filter housing, you will need the strap wrench to remove the fuel filter housing, and something to catch the diesel that will drip out since there is more diesel to come. Replace the filter and observe how the old one was seated so you can be sure the new one is seated properly, but the open end should be facing The gasket on the male connector up on the truck needs to be replaced before screwing the new filter back in. Using the front filter is easier than using the rear one. The two hose connectors will be located under the hood, one in and one out. The black filter will look like that. Typically, a truck's fuel filter has three pieces coming off of it, the third piece is called a factor fill nipple, and the replacement will not have this feature. If your fuel filter has two or three outlets, it has been changed through the factory. After removing the hoses, use a 7mm socket wrench to loosen the clamp that holds the filter in place, twist the clamp to the right until it stops and pull upwards. Reinstall the filter following the same procedure as before.

The F250 Powerstroke 6 is a 2015 model
5/5

An engine that produces 7L of diesel fuel. The first time I changed the fuel filters myself, it took longer than I anticipated, since this was the first time I'd done it myself. I took about 30 minutes to complete this project from start to finish. However, I took the time to make sure everything was wiped down and clean before installing A 32mm 3/8" drive socket was needed for the frame filter housing, which I bought from Amazon as well. An assistant is an essential part of the job.
Last time this was done, I was charged about $200 for a job that could have been done for $54 worth of parts and not much of my time.
I don't need any technical skills to do this job. With only a few minutes of watching a YouTube video, I knew everything that I needed to know. It is definitely a wise decision for the owner to handle this task himself to save money.

There is a lack of quality control! Sadly, the quality control on this particular filter is very poor
3/5

As the original owner of this vehicle, I do much of the maintenance myself to save money. By now, you would think I have the fuel filter change thing down since it is the 7th time I have changed it. Although the filter on the frame rail fit perfectly, the one on the engine did not want to fit into the sleeve. The spur of the plastic casting of the filter body was removed after I filed it down - I still feel uncomfortable with the tightness. There was so much friction that even after some lubrication, it would not rotate when the indexing tab was in place. However, since it was me, I removed the old filter and slipped it in - there was no problem. How do you get the truck when you need it? It would have been a good idea to put the old one back on so as not to contaminate anything. Ultimately, I had to cut the indexing tab off and gently tap the fuel line filter in so that the fuel lines could be The best I can do is to get it out as soon as possible. It appears that Motorcraft has a problem with the supplier, and the quality is definitely not as usual. I found the experience to be disappointing!.
