A genuine Mopar fuel filter and water separator in one kit

Questions & Answers

Were you all convinced that a price increase from $70 to $100 was necessary?

The price of the Mopar vehicles was raised. So, ours was also raised

It's unclear from the reviews whether it's a good thing to order. What is the difference between the Mopar fuel filter and the Fleetguard water separator?

They are 100% Mopar, yes. It has e-filters. Since they were less than half the price of the dealer, I was skeptical at first, but they were Mopar so I decided to buy them.

Do you think this filter would be appropriate I cannot think of any other description that would ?

The following items fit 2013 and later.

Are these filter installed under the body of the vehicle and under the hood as well?

Kurt, you are right! The black filter is the fuel and oil filter Under the middle of the truck is the water separator, which is easy to replace. A white filter is located under the hood, which is incredibly hard to get to. The problem was so bad that I was considering just having my lube place do a new one. This worked with my Dodge Ram 5500, as well as my 3500 and 4500 models.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE WARNING THE BUYER! The following is a review of my recent purchase from Northern Lights. NATIONAL FLEET delivered both OEM fuel filters to me in my previous order

(I was completely satisfied with the previous order I made from this company)

There are two fuel filters on the A gas tank is under the hood of the truck, and a fuel tank is under the bed. A filter for the under the hood (see the photo) was delivered by NORTHERN LIGHTS with the rear filter order. Moreover, the filter does not comply with OEM specifications. Neither it comes sealed in shrink wrap nor does it have any Mopar or Fleetguard markings, and the inner membrane is neither green nor yellow. As you can see in the photo under "Original rear filter," the rear filter arrived sealed and clearly looks OEM, but likely was just removed from the box it came in (see the The product will be returned for a refund, but I am waiting for the response to that request. There's no guarantee that the mistake will be made right, but I'm hoping it will. In addition to the time and money this will save you, consider the possibilities of damage to your diesel if you are using junk parts instead of new. Next time I'll post an update.

Only genuine parts are used
5/5

You can bet on it. It arrived today that my filters were ready. Initially, I was a bit hesitant because of the mixed reviews. They are both genuine Mopar parts, I can tell you directly. The attached photos are a good representation of the topic. It's obvious that the filter on the cannister is from You can see the black Cummins logo on the other filter. The other filter contains the green Cummins I will order from you Here's the latest The filters were installed today for the first time (my first attempt). Although I watched videos on youtube before making my attempt, I have no idea which ones I used. The supplies you need are as follows *. *. - A socket and ratchet driver for 28mm - An universal joint swivel that fits all models of ratchets - Adding an extension to the ratchet - A filter wrench (plier type) for the rear filter. The hose is 2 feet long with a cut-off end. It looks like people are draining diesel all over their front axle and drive shaft if they don't use a drain pan or bucket. It is not necessary to do this. To drain your diesel, cut a 2ft section from an old garden hose. Use this to direct the fuel into a drain pan or bucket. There was no spillage in the driveway when I was draining the front filter, and a very, very small amount (a few drops) when I was draining the rear filter. The front filter on my car was a tight fit You will find it much easier to operate if you have the extensions and universal joint. Please make sure all of your engine components (engine oil) are lubricated Before reinstalling the rings, make sure you remove them. In addition to that, my rear filter was put on pretty firmly. When I tried it on my man, he didn't like it In the hand. If you don't have the pliers, you will need to Filter wrenches of this type are available for your use. When I switched the two filters for the first time (both filters), it took me about 1 hour to do it. Replacing the front filter first, prior to priming the system and starting the truck, is a good idea. Follow that up by starting the rear filter, priming it, and not presoiling it. Make sure the filters are full! According to the included directions, this is the case. You will not need to worry about that since the truck's fuel pump will take care of it. Once again, these are OEM items (or at least mine are). Spending a few hours on it yourself could save you hundreds of dollars.

NorthernLightsAutoSupply should not be trusted when purchasing
3/5

The one I'm returning is currently in the mail. Despite the fact that the water/fuel separator is correct, the fuel filter does not appear to be an OE part nor does it have any indication that it is a part of the vehicle. There is no green mesh on it The fuel filter was added to the water/fuel separator after it had been taken out of its box. There seems to be some okie-doking going on at the store People who are unsure of what they want are not worth doing business with. The order was placed specifically with.

Filter on the rear of the car was a Mopar part
3/5

Filter on the rear of the car was a Mopar part. There was no meaningful difference between this and the original cartridge filter. I didn't receive a box with the rear spin on filter. In the rear filters box, a cartridge filter mounted to the engine was in a bag with an open end. There is no factory Mopar number anywhere on the factory filters because they are wrapped in plastic. The factory filters are shrinkwrapped plastic. This is junk.

Be careful not to fall for it

This is not a MOPAR vehicle. A dent was also present on the water separator filter that arrived with Initial receipt of the materials left me greatly disappointed and I see all of the negatives that have been cited in the 1-star.

I ordered this for my 2017 Cummins and it was a perfect fit
5/5

Some of the things that concerned me worried me a little. it for my 2017 Cummins and it was a perfect fit. It was a little worrying to hear that some people weren't convinced that the cartridge filter was up to par.

Despite my best efforts, I managed to make a mess
4/5

I was expecting this to work. It has been 1,000 miles since the filter was replaced without any issues. I have no reason to hesitate about doing it By not having the dealer perform the work, you save a lot, and the price I paid for the two filters (one is for under the hood, and one is for under the bed of the truck) was incredibly reasonable. The first time I did it, I didn't know all of the places where fuel could hide during the removal of the filters, so my mess was a little messy. There are two filters on super-high, as others have also pointed out The factory is right around the corner. I had to do this several times on my truck (and even checked YouTube and other places to ensure that I was doing it correctly) before it would For both fuel filters to be replaced at the dealer, I was quoted several hundred dollars. It was much cheaper for me to do it myself.
