Simply follow the arrow on the side of the filter that indicates air flow. Depending on where the filter is in relation to the vents, the air flow is usually up. It's not difficult at all!

Our 2009 Honda FIT Sport was fitted with a Puroma cabin filter, which was clearly of lower quality than the one I replaced. I'm not sure if it would fit a 2016 Honda FIT, though.

It was a perfect match. The dealer was asking $54 for it. The cost of replacing ONE cabin filter is $95. They were instructed to jump into a lake. I bought this two-pack for $13 and used it to replace the filters in both my 2016 Honda Fit and 2018 Honda Odyssey. Allowing the dealer to change the cabin filter and rob you blind is never a good idea.
This filter's setup can be a little tricky, but I'm here to assist you. Over the last 15 years, I've replaced a lot of cabin filters in various makes, and Honda has done a great job of simplifying the process by making access to the filter much easier, and there are no tools required. For my 2019 CR-V, at the very least. Now for the fun part: remove the old one after unplugging and dropping the glove box and removing the filter access door. Then, when placing the new filter in the open filter compartment, make sure the rigid sides are to the sides (not front and back). This filter's left-to-right (side-to-side) dimension is only 2/10ths of an inch wider than Honda's original, but it's not too wide and fits perfectly. When snapping the access panel back on, the front to back dimension is identical to Honda's original, but it's a tight fit. Simply ensure that the filter is pushed all the way back; Honda designed it this way to prevent it from shifting in the filter cavity and to ensure a tight seal. Because almost all recent year models have downward air flow, indicated by the blower motor assembly located beneath the filter (old filter will have dirt resting on top of it), the air flow direction arrow must be pointing downward. The blower pulls air through the filter, which protects the blower and provides clean air if the filter is changed frequently enough. My oil is changed every 10,000 miles, but there is still a lot of dirt in it. This one has made me very happy. At a two-for-one price, this is a fantastic deal. Happy breathing, and I hope these guys stick around for a while.
5L Turbo. The filter and cabin filter replacement cost $150 at the Honda dealer. I purchased this and replaced the filter in a matter of minutes. There are no tools required to open the glove compartment, remove the plastic cover, and replace it. The size and fit are identical to the factory filter. It's also thicker and heavier than the factory filter.
Pros:
- br>Easy to set upbr>- br>Thicker than OEM - Almost all outside scents are blocked by charcoal (sorry, NJ skunks)br>- br>Affordable- For the price of one, you can get two for the price of one. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- None, to be honest. It's a cabin air filter that comes with a bonus feature.
In my 2016 Honda Fit LX, it works perfectly. br>I had a little trouble getting it to fit and close the cover, but after a little fiddling, I was able to do so without difficulty, and I won't have to worry about it for another year or so. It's much less expensive to do it yourself, and it's fairly simple. br>Make certain it's inserted correctly. To assist you, I recommend that you look up a video on YouTube. )br>br>The previous filter was filthy. Now that I've replaced the air, it's much fresher!.
Excellent craftsmanship. It appears to absorb odors from the environment. I watched the installation video and read reviews, and it fits perfectly, but it installs a little differently than the Honda filter that came with the car. The cardboard frame pieces are on each side of this one, as opposed to the front and back of the original Honda part. This one went in without a hitch and is performing admirably. A significant savings, and I'm glad to have some left over for the next change.
The filter pack of two is a fantastic deal. In comparison to the OEM filter, the filter is extremely durable. The added benefit of activated charcoal in removing odors from the air is just a bonus. The direction of air flow is also indicated on the filter. The filter was a perfect fit and slid right into the air box without any force or jamming. These were bought for my Honda Odyssey from the year 2018. Buy with confidence, and I'll buy for all of my other vehicles as well.
It's a well-built filter. It has a much smaller number of folds than the factory filter. As a result, there is less surface area to filter air through. As a result, it won't last as long as a factory filter. However, at a fraction of the cost, it works to your advantage. The stiff cardboard front would not fit in the filter cover, so I had to install it'sideways. '.
