My car's engine light was illuminated, and the code indicated that the mass air sensor was malfunctioning. I cleaned it several times, but the light continued to come on after a while. I replaced that part, but the engine light continued to come on, oh well, my car's performance was rapidly deteriorating. The transmission began to slack and stall. I took a chance because I had no idea what was wrong with my tube and ordered this to replace it. br>br>It was simple to install this air intake tube, and it fixed my check engine light. When I removed my old one, I discovered a large hole. My car ran smoother right away, with no issues, and my gas mileage improved as well.
The item in question: This appears to be in good working order. It's also reasonably priced, at about a quarter of the cost of comparable parts. Clamps are flimsy and prone to breaking. As a result, I repurposed some of the original air intake tube's components. It's a bit of a pain to set up. I ended up starting with the right end (left if facing the engine bay) and working my way to the left. To pry the top part over to the fitting, I used a chopstick (though a tire spoon would have been easier). I also sprayed silicone on the tube's mating parts, but this was probably unnecessary given how smooth the material was. Overall, I'm happy with the product; it's improved my acceleration and eliminated stalling from the stop light (the original air hose had three cracks). br>br>Customer Service: The first shipment arrived 5 days later with the wrong part (a $50 Honda EGR valve in an open box with a second label that read "Air Intake Tube 16576 ET00A," which was incorrect). Following notification of the problem, a replacement order was quickly processed and delivered four days later. They made a mistake, but they fixed it as quickly as possible.
The fit is perfect.
A hole in the ribbed area caused a check engine code on the factory one. I replaced it, reset the code, and haven't had any issues since. For the price, it seemed to be of good quality, and I had no problems putting it on.
The p0101 and p0171 codes will be resolved as a result of this procedure. If you're getting those codes, your hose most likely has a rip in it. The original hose is ripped, as can be seen in my photo. I didn't notice the rip until I took it off. br>Also, double-check that your air filter clips (both of them) are securely fastened. They will also result in an error. My car is a Nissan Sentra 2 from 2011.
I had just paid over $1000 to have my car repaired, and they had somehow overlooked the cracked intake piping. So, after paying for a smog check and failing, I was overjoyed to discover the part I required on Amazon! It was delivered the next day, and a friend of mine installed it in less than 15 minutes, which saved me a lot of time and money!.
With Express shipping, the part arrived on time. The component appears to have been well-molded. The hose openings were round and snugly fitted into the airbox and throttle body. I'm not sure how long the material will last. Half of the old oe part had been worn away. I'm sure this will eventually do the same, but at $25, it's a quick and inexpensive fix. The car now drives more smoothly and does not stutter or stall at crosswalks.
On a 2009 Sentra 2, I fixed the po171 code. The accordion section of the OEM part was ripped. The car is now extremely smooth to drive. This part's quality is exceptional for the price. Installing it was a breeze. Even if you don't have an error code, check this hose for rips if your car is running rough. I wish I'd looked into it sooner.
