I simply used a regular hose clamp, which worked perfectly.

To replace it, the dealership demanded $224. Oh, my goodness. Thanks to YouTube, I was able to figure out how to remove the engine shield and get to this. I was able to remove the oddly shaped plastic appendage from the old boot and reuse it because this part did not have it. The only drawback was that it came with what appeared to be a propriety. I broke a 25" hose clamp trying to remove it because it wasn't included with the new boot. br>br>I believe they design cars to be difficult to work on by their owners on purpose. The hollow appendage attached to the side of the boot seemed oddly shaped. I got the impression that the only goal was to fill some empty space. There's no room under the hood for anything else.
Clamps can be found for a reasonable price. I didn't use factory ones because they didn't fit quite right. It was difficult to install the clamp for the air box. Aside from that, everything is fine. This is a product that I would buy again. (Remember, you'll also need a small clamp to replace the factory-crimped clamp. ).
This is the one you want because it fits perfectly on my 2014 Impala 2LT. br>The flex portion of my original hose had cracked. BUY A CLAMP FOR THE SMALL CONNECTION, AS THE NEW PART DOES NOT COME WITH ONE.
All I needed was a small clamp to go around the small hole, which I purchased for $3 at a local auto store. I was able to save $125 by purchasing it on Amazon instead of at my local Chevy dealership, which took about 10 minutes.
For a piece of rubber, you'll have to pay $99! I was pleasantly surprised to discover it for such a low price on this website. Even if I had to replace it five times, I was still able to save money. I had to remove the attached part, and it was a bit of work to remove the clamp from the old one because it was a crimp clamp, so take your time and save the clamp. You may need to stretch out the crimp a little to get it back on, but it is doable. I'd buy from you again without a doubt. Once again, Amazon comes to our rescue!.
It was a perfect match. The rubber is not the same as the factory rubber, but it might last longer than mine did. (OEM lasted 5 years) super simple installation at a reasonable price!.
Simply enter your vehicle's make, model, and year, and you'll be directed to the appropriate part! Waaalaa!.
Exactly what we needed to replace a damaged part on our car.
