Because of this part, my 2008 new-to-me car purrs like a kitten now
5/5

It had a rough idle when I bought it in 2017. It would perish if you had to come to a complete stop quickly, or if you sat at a red light for an extended period of time. Most importantly, if you were parked on an incline (front end down, back end up), you'd have to start the car, smash the peddle several times, and pull out of the parking space at a high rate of speed and idle, as well as a few choice words for the car, or you'd be stuck there and have to push it out by hand. br>br>Took it to the dealership, they said it was a "tiny pin hole you can't That was the name given to it. So I looked up what a dust boot was because, despite being the daughter of a mechanic, I had never heard of one. I called around to mechanic shops and asked what a dust boot was, and after speaking with about ten of them, one of them said that some dealerships call the air intake hose a dust boot to confuse you about which part needs to be repaired. br>br>As a result, I spent a year looking for a low-cost but functional part. Since it was "just a tiny pin hole," we considered duct taping it to see if that would help. My stepfather, who is also a mechanic, refused to take it apart because he didn't know if the car, which was ten years old, would fall apart. br>br>Finally, I had some spare cash and went online to look for the part. This one popped up and I was like "sold!" " My stepfather put it on for me as soon as it arrived. My car now runs like a dream, despite the fact that I was in class at the time. purrs as if he's a kitten It doesn't have a bad idle or anything like that. Perfect. br>br>Now, that "tiny pinhole that you couldn't see with the naked eye" had turned out to be two massive holes that had nearly ripped the hose in half. "Tiny pin holes you can't see with the naked eye?" I'd like to take it up to the dealership and tell them. These two holes should be visible from space," says the narrator. Granted, driving the car with the holes could have made them worse, but they had to be pretty bad when I bought it, given their size. br>br>This part was perfect, I have prime, and it arrived in two days, technically one. 5 days. My 2008 Nissan Sentra was a perfect fit. My sister, a mechanic in training (lol, she just piddles), put it on with the assistance of my stepfather. If I had a million stars, I would give it to it.

Yes, this did fit a 2012 Nissan Sentra, but only with considerable effort

Getting it in, however, is a pain in the neck. You can't angle the other end to connect to the air filter once one end is connected to the intake manifold. When you try it the other way around, the same thing happens. I was able to get it to fit by connecting it to the manifold, getting the other end halfway on the filter, and then slowly bending the rubber around the connection with a flat head screwdriver until I could slide it on. br>br>The issue appears to be either that the part is slightly too long or that the material is too rigid to allow you to properly angle it when connecting it. Overall, this is a lot less expensive than the OEM part, but the installation took far longer than it needed to. Other reviews indicated that the installation was simple, so I'm not sure if my part was defective; in any case, it's up and running now. I'm just hoping I won't have to take it out again.

My fiance installed it herself because it was so simple! For our relocation to Arizona, the fiance drove one of our cars
5/5

She called me from a service shop out there one morning, upset. They estimated the cost of replacement to be around $400. I laughed and told her to take a deep breath. I emailed her a screenshot of this as well as a YouTube video link. When she got the part two days later, she installed it herself while on the phone with me, keeping the kid and the dogs in line. It couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes for her to complete the task. She isn't going to leave mechanical type behind, either. As a result, I am ecstatically pleased with her! And she's happy with the product, saying that it's running better and doesn't seem to want to slow down or die on her at random times. I'm relieved that we won't have to pay three times as much for the part at a local parts store, nor will we have to pay $400 for something she could do herself. This aftermarket part appears to be 30-year-old, according to her. The one she left behind was a year later. br>br>Service centers should be aware of the following information: Before allowing her to drive the kid there, I had this car inspected. I was assured that everything was fine, but when she arrived, I was told that it would cost $400 to fix it. To go install it myself, it would have cost me a total of $112 round trip, including this part from Amazon. So, if you're on the fence about whether or not you should get this part, go for it!.

This is a fantastic, high-quality product that fits my 2011 Nissan Sentra perfectly
5/5

My check engine light had been turned on due to a P101 Mass Air Flow Sensor error code. I first cleaned the mass air flow sensor, which did not resolve the error, and then I purchased a new mass air flow sensor, which did not resolve the error either. After that, I decided to spray the throttle body with CRC aerosol spray cleaner, which necessitated removing the air intake hose. Because the stock intake hose had become dry and stiff over the years, I was concerned that I would crack it. So I bought this part, installed it in a few minutes, and was able to spray the throttle body, resulting in the error code being cleared.

My stalling problem has now been resolved
5/5

I was going to give this review four stars, but I'm going to give it five because I don't want people to be put off from buying it. The reason I'm giving it a four is because it doesn't quite fit. The fit over the throttle body is so tight that I had to fiddle with it for about 20 minutes, during which time I was sweating and my legs were burning from leaning into the bay. I'd give it a five because, after all that, it works, and my Sentra no longer stalls, and the engine light has gone off. So it works; all it needs is a little tweaking.
