There are no issues. If you need this part, it's very likely that your original hose has cracked and needs to be replaced. You may notice that, with the exception of the resonator hose, this hose comes off of everything perfectly when uninstalled. In my experience, removing the original resonator hose from the original air intake hose fitting without it ripping or cracking is nearly impossible. You'll have to look for a replacement resonator for a 2001 Toyota Camry on Amazon after that. I would recommend doing some research on the resonator's purpose before purchasing that new part. I decided to take the part out of my Camry completely and cap the fitting with a 114" PVC cap and a hose clamp.
Okay, so I have a 1999 Toyota Camry with the 2. 2L in it. Because there were some changes after 1999, this listing is only for newer models. br>br>For me, the difference was that the air resonator was originally located in a different location. Mine is right beside the airbox, not at the throttle body, as it should be. That was something I could handle with a fernco cap, though. br>br>The next distinction is the size of the hose on the throttle body, which appears to be about 2in in diameter. That's fine; the only difference is that my airbox is also two inches in diameter. This hose appeared to be two in number. Almost three or five. This one was a little more difficult, but a good enough seal can be achieved with a tight enough hose clamp. br>br>Other than that, it works great and I'm happy with it; I just wish they had one for the pre-facelift model changes. I can get four of these for less than the cost of a properly fitted intake from any other vendor.
This is a great air intake hose replacement for the Toyota Camry 2000. All of the connections were made without a hitch, and the rubber is of excellent quality. The small side opening at the bottom of the picture connects to a hose that is connected to the upper resonator box. That hose isn't detachable from the resonator, so if you can't detach the old air intake hose from the resonator hose, you'll have to replace the upper resonator box completely. It is not difficult, but it is an additional cost and inconvenience.
The only tricky part was connecting the resonator tube, which was a great fit. Tip. Cut the old tube near the top of the resonator, then remove the clamp and slice the tube with a sharp knife.
89 dollars for this injection mold rubber piece! I'm trying to buy American and local at auto zone and advanced, but holy crap, I thought that quote was referring to the entire intake system. It's a Camery from the year 2001 with a 2. It has a 2 liter 3/4 HP Briggs and Stratton/Shopvac engine in it. For $89, I can replace any of the five parts on it and still have enough money to fill the tank. Finally, thank you, Amazon, because if I hadn't found this one, I would have made one out of paper towel tubes and duck tape.
It looked and fit just like the original on my 2001 Toyota Camry, which has 287,000 miles on it and is still going strong. Keep an eye out for rubber parts like this, as well as your vacuum lines, as they are all ready to be replaced at this point.
My 2001 Toyota Camry was able to accommodate two of them. 2L 4 cyl. With the help of YouTube, installation was a breeze.
It is not compatible with the Toyota Camry 2000. br>I'm also unsure if this seller is trustworthy; I returned the part seven days ago and have yet to receive a refund.
