It appears that these will fit on my 2005 Volkswagen Beetle without any problem. In spite of this, they only shipped the bolt and not the nut. The bolt and nut are two separate items. The 1/4-size would be fine, but I would prefer them to be as wide as possible A bolt 20 inches long, but it is an undefined gauge, and the thimble is also undefined Twenty of the bolts I have cannot be tightened beyond one I'm almost positive you'll be fine if you still have the old nuts. If your old nuts are anything like mine, they fell out and are now road waste.

I installed this on my 2002 VW Jetta 2. It fits like a glove. A great find and repair is this 0 wagon, which was being pulled by rope.

Although they do the job, they have a cheap feel to them. While not a perfect replacement, they definitely improve upon the Zip-Up This tie was used before me by the previous owner.
