Can you tell me what year the car is?
The code fits, but it does not clear it. There are no issues with the look and fit. If you want the original part, you'll need part number 7L0- In the 906-area There is a higher cost for (243), which is the case. It took me a long time to learn this lesson.
The answer is yes
You are right, it will work.

In general, I've been satisfied with Dorman replacement parts over the years because I've done quite a bit of auto repair over the years. It is a rare exception to the rule. I run a VW Jetta with a 2. 0 liter engine and it has around 130,000 miles. During an inspection, I found that the Evaporative Emissions Leak Detection Pump was throwing the P2402 code. So, I replaced it with the Dorman part, which looks almost identical to the OEM part. The Dorman part is simply installed, and looks good. Within 20 miles of the original error, the code occurred again. However, the car did not run at 100% as well as it should have. My research led me to believe that the part was not the problem, and I checked other possibilities for Finally, I did not find a solution to my problem in the Dorman part. A new Evaporative Emissions Leak Detection Pump (more than 3 times as expensive as the factory part) replaced the old one, and the code no longer appears.
The evap pump I replaced with this one worked great. There was no way to clear the code. When I took my car to a local independent mechanic he replaced it with a Bosch unit. It worked fine after that and I did not receive a warranty replacement. However, even though I could save a few dollars by getting the aftermarket, my bill was so much higher in the end. There is nothing to be ashamed of in Dorman's actions. I also could not return it to them either. You can save yourself time and hassle by buying a Bosch unit.
Having brought my car to the mechanic after my 2012 BMW X3 check engine light came on, I had the vehicle serviced. Based on that visit, in addition to a couple calls to other shops and dealers in my area, I received quotes ranging from $450 to $560 Eight hundred dollars. As a result of checking a couple of discussion forums online and watching videos on YouTube, I decided to do I ordered the part from Amazon and got a diagnostic tool at the local auto parts store, and it cost just under $100 to fix it. It took me about 35 minutes to replace the actual part after spending about 2 hours on the internet and watching YouTube videos. As soon as the part was installed, I reset the check engine light, and it remained off following that. I found removing the rear passenger tire to be the most difficult part of the whole process because it is located under the wheel well shield on the year and model I have.
I put it on my 2015 VW Passat and it fit perfectly. I was able to clear my P2402 error. The clearing process must take place over two cycles before the memory is cleared completely. To remove the whole assembly, you need to separate it from the base. It will still be attached to the unit by a press and pull plastic holding piece in the back. Remove the two bolts at the bottom of the assembly. Although I had to break that part off, the bolts that secured it afterwards held just fine. It will be necessary to replace one of the hose clamps when removed. As it is a one time use clamp, it is suitable only for a 8 inch diameter hose. The value is outstanding for the price you pay!.
It is easy to install on a 2011 Volkswagen After watching a step by step video on YouTube, I ordered the part, it came on time, and it took me just a little under an hour to install it. I have saved over 800 dollars and my wife is happy. It has been a week since her check engine light disappeared.
The connector is held in place by a mass of profusion on the side of the electric connection. It is because the protrusion on the connector is insufficient to hold it in place that it falls off either after riding over a pothole or the connector comes loose after a few miles, resulting in a P2450 code for electrical wiring/connection problem. The money I paid for has been returned to me.
This issue was resolved by the pump. Installing is a bit difficult if your forearms are very large. You have to bend the bracket downward in order to remove it because it is wedged above the passenger rear shock.
After taking my car to my mechanic, that light is still on, so I had him clear the code, and he told me I should have bought OEM parts. I've noticed that my check engine light is Although everything seemed to fit perfectly, I am not sure if I got a defective unit. You are wasting your money if you do this!.
