The magnaflow 11386 was ordered to go with a 351w true duals with no cats on a 96 bronco. When under load, this exhaust produces an awesome deep throaty sound, and it becomes a little higher pitched when you're high in the rev range. I like the muffler, but it's a bit louder than I anticipated and drones a little bit in 3rd gear, then goes away when I put it into overdrive. We would highly recommend running with a cat or using a resonator if you don't want to disturb your neighbors.
Upon starting, it sounded more like a souped up import than a muscle car, and it had a terrible drone right around 1700. Two hundred and thirty minutes at 2300 rpm. The neighbor's high idle is waking up from highway cruising. We had just driven 1 hour and my wife became exhausted after that long drive. I also grew tired of setting off the car alarm in the little Honda behind us. The Flowmasters were kept in place as I added the muffled x pipe. The sound of an 8. 3L V8 with headers is not matched by any other, but this performance upgrade makes it sound more like a growling idle rather than the raspy tuba. There's definitely more of an "American" ring to it. As well as stepping on the drone, it ran over it pretty hard. Thankfully, the unwanted drone range has been trimmed down to 1900 to 2100 It does not sound as loud when it is inside the vehicle because it spins at 2050 rpm. Putting this pipe on my car enabled me to drive it on a daily basis while still getting a good time when I wanted.
I've been down a lot lately. My exhaust note was severely distorted because of the tiny test pipes (2007 Nissan 350z). I cut out the resonators and welded in a X pipe, which made a significant difference to my exhaust. The stock exhaust made the new one almost as quiet as the stock. It was Amazon who gave me the HKS rep.
My computer has a 2016 3 and I installed it there. In addition to adding a 6-speed Mustang in the resonator location, we replaced the factory mufflers with pipes and installed a nice echo tip too. There isn't anything too raspy, but there is a V8 rumble and it doesn't sound like it's making rice noises. This sounds like a V8 on a quieter tassel setup, it will turn heads but won't set off car alarms or wake the neighbors, so if you want a nice deep rumble that's not too loud then you should check it out.
During any factory resonator and muffler removal on a 2013 V6 Camaro, I had to remove the exhaust pipe internally. My previous Magnaflow X was replaced with this one A Doug Thorley muffler and a pipe have been deleted. By using the Magnaflow, all raspiness associated with the muffler delete was eliminated. I was surprised at how deep that growl was compared to a V6 exhaust. My favorite part of it is the music.
I installed this without any problems It sounds amazing! I removed the middle muffler and replaced it with this one, kept the resonators in place, and I cut the sock mufflers off of the back. The pro's are This product sounds amazing*Not too loud*No drones
Great quality
Loud enough when you smash the gas or rev it up*ABSOLUTELY AMAZING deep sporty sound (Varies depending on the car)
- The cons are There is none.
A better use may be as a resonator rather than a muffler, in my opinion. I found that this did a great job at eliminating the ricey undertones associated with a v6 performance exhaust. However, when paired with magnaflow's straight through exhaust, it improved the performance of It would be a good idea.
On my 2011 Camaro V6, it is now a standard feature. A set of BBK long tube headers and an MRT V2 axle back exhaust are on the car. The headers produce an awful rasp at full throttle, and make the car too high pitched. With this resonator, the sound was reduced to a much deeper, rumbling rumble, and all rasp was eliminated.
