It shouldn't be an issue. You'll be happy if you have a muffler shop hang it for you and leave a nice tip.
The reason for this is that the muffler you'll be removing will be much longer.

This is for my 2009 Escalade, which I purchased. The sound is fantastic. The other items I ordered, however, are no longer in stock, which is a bummer. The piping in the caddy is both larger and smaller than 3". 5”. This Borla has a 3" outside diameter. My installation outcomes are quite unattractive to me. I need to order the walker intermediate pipe, which increases the length of the pipe from 3 to 4. Between 5" and 3" Also, there is no longer a resonator delete option. SLP had two, but I passed up the opportunity to purchase one. As a result, I removed the stock muffler and replaced it with a Borla. Sounds great, but for me, it wasn't as simple as "drop and replace. " I'll have to redo it once I find what I'm looking for. br>I don't want the loud highway drone because this is my daily driver. It's not bad at all with the stock resonator. I was planning on adding an aftermarket ultra quiet one, but that will have to wait until I redo this current setup.
My 2019 RAM 1500 is now equipped with the 5. 7L is just right. Because the stock exhaust is far too quiet, this increased the volume without being obnoxious. When driving on the freeway, the difference is barely audible, but when accelerating normally or hard on the throttle, the exhaust sings. A muffler shop will have to weld this muffler in.
This was purchased to replace the muffler that came with the vehicle. It doesn't appear to be significantly louder than the stock model. It turns out it's quieter than stock, which killed the drone in the cab, and it's only louder than stock when you run wide open, at which point it barks a little. On a scale of one to six, it's a six. 2 gallons of gas for a Ford Super Duty. My mpg hasn't changed yet, but it does appear to be picking up a little more.
It adds a nice rumble to the truck without being too loud. I didn't think it was loud enough the first few days, but it seems to have grown on me and is now exactly what I was looking for. I left the resonators in place, but you could take them out for more sound.
br>The performance is excellent thanks to the cold air intake and Pulsar tuner. If you're curious, here's what I mean. 2020 Ram 1500 br>.
It fits perfectly in my 2019 RAM 1500 Limited, with a low but audible rumble and no highway drone.
In an ideal world, I'd like a Borla system with a full cat back. If you're on a budget, however, this muffler is a good choice. The sound isn't too loud; it simply informs you that you have a capable engine.
I was looking for something with a low rumble that wasn't too loud. If you're looking for a similar exhaust, this is the one to get.
